This one is extremely easy to use, very responsive touchscreen. I especially like the graphing feature and it’s nice to be able to use something with a big screen instead of using your phone to view the data. For the price, this is the one that every do it yourself or should be getting. The lifetime free updates is worth its waiting gold. Other units cost between two and $500 a year to update. Where this one is free and stays updated forever. This will definitely pull codes that the other ones will not. Those cheaper ones that you plug into the port and then link to your phone, they don’t pull all of the codes like this one does. And for the price you can’t beat this. In addition to the 7 resets that are for life. Other units expire after the 1 or 2 years of subscription. On this they do not expire! Launch is a great company to deal with, and this seller stands behind the product extremely well. You can feel confident buying from this seller.

I am a locksmith and I have a few different key programmers that are big bulky, have big plastic cases and a lot of necessary accessories. This is perfect for a diy mechanic it is small lightweight and has a nice case to keep the cords in and protect it and it takes up little space in my van. I have used many programmers and I was surprised how quickly this scans cars, reads and erased codes. It can be used with wifi so when you get an error code you can just click on it and it will open a window that tells you all the information about the code. Free updates unlike a lot of other brands. I would recommend.

I gave 4 stars for each category. So far only used this once to scan my 2006 Chrysler 300c. Has antilock brake light on. So far it’s pointing me to left rear sensor or tone ring. I haven’t had time to go further. Also pulled up codes for O2 sensor and is easy to monitor their function when in live mode. My only gripe with this scanner so far is that it doesn’t recognize the Vin # on its own. I must manually enter it which is annoying. Tried it in my 97 Lincoln same thing! Not sure why but my inexpensive Actron scanner pulls the Make/Vin # no issues. And I left 4 stars for tech support as I haven’t needed to contact them so can’t say they’re great or bad. I don’t know as yet!

So let me tell you guys why I love this scanner. Besides the basic functions of it and what not. It’s a great lightweight scanner, love that it does abs bleeding and brake, dpf and bms resets as well as oil resets. Fast and easy to use and very affordable. Would highly recommend

I have a ‘03 Jetta that is a surprisingly great little car considering it’s age. Only problem in the last 5 years is some EVAP stuff which is causing me to fail CA smog check. I really got this scan tool to scan for emissions readiness so I can see which monitors are not ready without running to my auto shop every few days. Yesterday I got my check engine light though, and I used this tool to scan DTC. It told me exactly what my mechanic had suspected last time I was at the shop for the purge valve repair, “very small leak in evap system”. So I knew my mechanic was correct and honest, I knew what was wrong with the car, and I knew I needed to get the smoke test next to find the leak all thanks to this scan tool. It’s AMAZING. Very easy to use, lots of features, and really will save time and money. I am a blonde female so I am immediately pegged by some mechanics as stupid and easy to trick. With this scan tool, google, and my Chilton manual, I can speak to them in their own language. When you get this scan tool just charge it up; CHARGER IS IN THE CARRY CASE! Then connect to your WiFi and update! Then plug it into your port in your car and turn on the ignition. You can get a full health report. My VIN was not auto-detected, that was my only disappointment but no big deal. I was able to clear an old airbag code that was due to my battery dying, and then I found my leak. Everything else checked out. wish I got this sooner, actually, it is sooo informative. You can leave it plugged in when you drive and get live data too. I’ll do that when my car is back from the mechanic. I’ll update my review if anything changes, but I highly recommend you try this scan tool. Update: one month later I finally got my monitors ready and the photo shows the live data report for my car. Took it for smog and passed. Those monitors are a main component of smog check. So if they all pass, you will probably pass (they still have to inspect, and check tailpipe output, but monitors are main thing). In my state it’s legal for them to charge you over and over even if you fail. So knowing you will pass or fail ahead of time really adds up savings. My mechanic charges twice EVEN IF THEY do the repairs. Sux but never again!
