This is a great scanner for the price of 150.00. It's small and compact but packs alot of diagnostic for the value. This is a general scanner that works for most makes and models post 1996. It scans almost all systems. This scanner works great for about 90% info that you might need for your vehicle. Great if you have a check engine light or if you need to reset the code for your abs or various other reseting functions that are required after changing parts of newer vehicles. Itll give you a read out that you would generally need to spend 200 for at the dealer or the shop. Great scanner to have around just in case you need a quick read out for any issues you have with your vehicle.

This scanner has already paid for itself twice over. As cars get more complex with more than a single CPU/System to access you need a scanner like this. With my old scanner I could read an ABS code but could not access the ABS system to gather more data. This scanner solved the problem and I was able to determine which sensor to correct and gather live data. The end result was the sensor read area was dirty and I did not have to replace the sensor. Even if you are not a DIY like myself you can detect, diagnose and document the problem so you will know if your mechanic is on the level with you. Well worth the money. UPDATE- I recently updated my scan tool with the current library files and have done this exercise successfully in the past. This time my unit remains in a “stuck” mode at boot up noting the TF card is initializing. I have tried numerous suggestions including formatting the micro SD card and reloading the card. The files reside on the card and the unit attempts to read but gets in an initializing loop. I tend to believe it’s a software issue. The unit is under warranty and I have emailed the launch support team. Hopefully I get a response or instructions to return the unit. I have reduced from 5 to 2 stars. Ok I kept tinkering around and found the Launch site in the UK, downloaded an earlier version software download tool. Note this tool still contains the newest library files for all the various car brands & years. This resolved my issue. An analogy would be the software download tool acts like a driver and I installed a previous driver. Regardless maybe this will help someone else. The device is a good tool just with a software “hiccup” so I moved back to 4 stars

This has been an imperative piece of equipment to keep things running smoothly. The piece reads a full set of my codes for a very old vehicle and has been permanently installed in the vehicle. One of the machine set ups reads the issues and will help you diagnose. Given the year of my car I feel the set of codes that work for the vehicle are compatible and realistic. The connectivity was easy and the ability to update is easy and was up to date when I received the device.

I have been an ASE Master Certified Technician for 18 years. I have used the launch product line before. So I was able to buy this one with a great deal of confidence. It lives up to its reputation as a nice quick scan tool for diagnosing complicated and easy repairs. Trouble codes do not tell you what is wrong with the car they merely point you in the correct direction. And when diagnosing your car it’s all about narrowing it down. This tool gives you the ability to do that not just by pulling codes but actually giving you real time data so that you can test the potentially bad part rather than just swapping it and seeing if that fixes it. Some of our larger scanners are big and bulky which is why if I’m able to use the launch scanner I do because it’s compact and you’re able to get in there and find out what’s going on quickly. And when you’re paid by the labor hour not actual hour time really matters. So not only do I recommend this tool for a seasoned professional I also recommended it for a do it yourselfer. No one is born with an inherent knowledge of automotive repair and this is a good tool at an amazing price that is capable of a lot.

I purchased this unit to scan a srs light I got on my 2019 Ford E450 and it didn't read the code. The instruction manual doesn't even say it reads SRS codes but it sure says it in the advertisement. Junk

The machine is unbelievably complicated to work start with from the very beginning it tells you to hit one or whatever it is in a certain box but it nowhere on the machine or in directions has any kind of box with what they called it it also tells you that it can reset your modules which was the main reason I got it and because I have a 25 year old Jaguar at these devices don't read jaguars it does not reset the modules which is my main reason for needing it cuz I'm old I'm poor and I can't afford to have it taken to a shop I was very disappointed

Had the ever present Honda Accord SRS light on dashboard. Driver's side belt buckle. This scanner found the code and I was able to erase the code. The light has stayed off so far only time will tell if it's a glitch or I have to replace the buckle.
