Says to download Update tool on your computer so you can update latest software on device. That didn’t work. Seemed to read codes okay on my vehicle. But didn’t work to reset check engine light.

Device seems to work quite well. You'll need to download the user manual for it if you're new to this type of tool as I am. I haven't used all of the features yet but am quite satisfied with my use thus far.

This device will earn its sale price on your first use. Of course this is not the same as a $5k hi-end diagnostic tool but this is WAY better than the $150 Sears Crapsmen I bought 5 years ago. As a backyard tinkerer, this is perfect for my needs.
