It's PVC, so I did not expect too much, but it is stronger than expected. The height markings are nice to keep the bars even and easy to adjust and lock in place. My only negative comment and the reason I gave 3 stars on Sturdiness is that the side poles tend to bow out and the bar falls easily. It might work better if the bars were an inch longer. The media could not be loaded. I ordered these to help our one year old nervous GSD gain some confidence (our previous dog was in agility for several years). They were received in a timely fashion and all pieces were accounted for and intact. A really nice addition is the carrying bag which seems of decent quality. I think these are great. They were easy to put together and are big and sturdy enough for backyard play and exercise for my two athletic dogs (75 and 90 pounds). They are lightweight and easy to move around. My set came with the ruler marks on the poles. I'm satisfied.
