I bought this heater just to offset the cold in my bedroom during the below zero for 2 week period. Wasn't really expecting too much but I have to say this little heater is AWESOME!! Makes the room nice n toasty. Room is 15X30 feet . I really like the oscillating feature and timer. The remote control is a handy little feature also. It is light enough i can carry it to other rooms when needed. It is pretty sturdy and quiet also. After 6 years of use mostly during winter season I can honestly say that this heater fan has served me right and worth what I payed for it. Purchased in 2017 and now 2023 it’s starting to fail a bit, no complaints of course the heater still works but it’s time to get another new old stock 5790 before winter kicks in or get a newer model, definitely recommend this particular model if you can still find it. ... show more

Just what I needed for my new home basement office during "the corona". My older heater was loud and that wasn't going to work for conference calls. This unit is very quiet and still cranks heat. I just wish I could program an exact temp. Maybe I didn't read well enough, but the just a heads up that the options are in 5* increments, starting with 65 and going to 85. I've always been a 68* guy, so this is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is the 3d one I have purchased (one for a relative) and am very pleased with the quality once again. It is a quiet yet effective tower. Also, the unit comes with a remote control which is great and very handy. This tower may have been streamlined as it is even slimmer than the previous one I purchased earlier this year. It is smart looking and fits nicely into any decor and does not draw attention to itself. Very quiet, and oscillates nicely and smoothly without any noise. Works as expected and is perfect for a small basement bedroom with a teenage girl that always claims "It's freezing in this house." It's quiet, it really cranks out the heat, the oscillating feature is a huge plus and we couldn't be happier. I am guessing it will get a lot of use when it's summer and the a/c is on in the rest of the house, she will be hibernating in her toasty little den in the basement. Thank you, Lasko, for putting the kibosh on one of the biggest complaints in my household! The only drawback for this item was that when it arrived it my house, it hadn't been packed in a shipping box with padding from the vendor or Amazon or whoever it came from.........just had a mailing label slapped on the side of the box and got a little beat up in the mail. This heater is amazing. We use it for our basement which gets cold in the winter. It worked great and has a 1hr, 2hr, or 4hr option that turns off automatically after the time is up.

    • Buy it - worth it to keep you warm and cozy!
Today 9.16.2020 I order this on 1.01.2019 and I’m so happy I did. This heater has been with me to 3 apartments lol and has kept me warm every single winter. Freshly moving out of parents home, moving in with a roommate and heat was difficult to get to work but this heater kept my room so cozy and at times the living room too if my door was open. It was amazing! Moving into a studio basement I was sure my heater was not going to keep the whole place warm and thankfullyyyy it did! I appreciated having it even more! It was greattt to shower and step out and the place was sooo warm. NOW living in a balcony apartment, it’s getting a little chilly and since I recently moved in and not sure how the heater works yet! I couldn’t wait to bring this baby out instead. Currently in bed already so warm. I placed it in the living room with my door open and feel so warm. Even my boyfriend has grown to love it! There has been times, many times where I dropped or mistakenly push down the item and it had it’s fair slams on the floor. There was times after it wouldn’t turn on but with a day rest or two it was able to always turn on and work it’s magic! I absolutely LOVE THIS HEATERR! I’m so glad to still be able to have it and currently use it. I advise to make sure to turn OFF the item when you are not using it. It has last me a while before it gives out on me but it’s not worth the midnight cold scare where it randomly turns off lol and though I have banged, dropped, etc the item. I suggest to be careful in case there’s no same luck. I advise to buy ittttttttt if you want to be warm and cozy!! worth the $! ... show more
