That said, so does the grill on the front. So be cautious. It doesn’t get hot enough to start fire but can burn delicate skin. The timer was so easy to set and works perfectly. The cord could be just a little bit longer but is of a decent length. It doesn’t take up much room and is lightweight. It has been around 40* here and heats my 14’ by 18’ bedroom in about 10 minutes. This unit warms a bedroom, my other the family room, take away the chill or in less than 20 minutes it will reach the set temperature, compact, slim, easy to program, shuts off at time 1 to 4 hours, great unit at a great low price.

Just received this today. Been using less than an hour and aaaaah. Feels great! I use space heaters to supplement my furnace so the temp doesn't need to be as high across the entire house, esp in fall/spring. Saves a bit on my gas bill, plus it's easier to adjust the space heater temp than my aging furnace. Which is another reason to have this, my nearly 30 yr old furnace may knock off one of these winters. Although it still passes yearly maintenance checks, I'd rather be prepared for that should I need a replacement. I've had units from Lasko before. As a heavy & sometimes clumsy user, I typically get a 2-4 years out of one. This is the same size as the last one I had but no remote and the heat options are a bit different. But seems the same quality beyond that. I always look for a deal too, this was the best I found without losing my mind searching different places. About $52 with an Amazon coupon for just under $10, making it around $43. I've only purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond or Sams in the past but at the time I ordered they didn't have this size, just larger or smaller. Shipping box was in perfect condition, delivered thru USPS. The packaging of the heater itself was plain and non-descript, no labels or print. If anything goes awry in less than a year I will update my review. For now I'm toasty and happy. ... show more

Bought this to keep my one car garage warm for an outside cat. I fixed a cat door in the window of my garage for the cat to come in and out in the daytime as it pleased. At night I lock the door so the cat cannot get out and let her go freely in and out in the daytime. During the winter it gets cold in the garage, and I bought this ceramic heater to keep it cozy for her. You can set the temperature on different degrees, and I set it for 65 degrees. It stays that temperature in the garage. It isn't hot to touch and if it gets knocked over it will kick off. Excellent product. ... show more
