The fan arrived very quickly which was perfect since the heatwave came about a week after it arrived. This fan is a perfect size for a small bedroom and doesn't take up floor space. It's also very easy to put together and I am not handy at all! The one tip I have for others is to make sure everything is pushed all the way back and screwed in tightly. My first try wasn't tight enough and it caused a loud rattle which I fixed by tightening the blades down. Okay, so the best thing about this fan is definitely the amount of air it puts out! I usually use fans on the middle or highest setting but this one blows so much cool air out on the lowest setting that I have not had a need to go any higher and we are in the middle of a heat wave right now so I don't know if I will ever need to. The fan has a good oscillation range as well especially in a small bedroom. Now on to the one down side, the noise. It's not that this fan is particularly loud it is just not quite. I don't know if I would have really noticed it but after replacing an old fan that was extremely loud and then reading all the reviews that stated it was such a quiet fan I think I was more focused on how it sounded more that I normally am with fans. Anyway like said it is the only down side I can find and it is not extremely bad, I can still hear the tv and it doesn't keep me awake. The thing about it that made me take a star off was that the noise is kind of like the power is wavering and so it kind of can have an ebb and flow to it if you start obsessing on it. Overall though 98 percent of the time I don't notice it and would recommend it to others. So if you were like I was a month ago and you are overwhelmed with is it too loud or not?! Just order it because the little noise it has is far out weighed by its good look and amazing cool air flow. —Update—. I’ve had it over a year and it’s still great. That’s all. ... show more

I own 3 of these fans and I love them. I've had two of them for five years and run them daily for many hours. I haven't had a single problem with any of them. They are made entirely of plastic, so are very lightweight. It requires some assembly, but the few pieces snap together easily. The instructions are easy to follow and have pictures to assist. This also makes it very easy to disassemble when it needs cleaning. I'm an old lady with arthritis and even I was able to easily put it together in just a few minutes. The fan has three speeds and oscillates across a wide area. The higher the speed, the louder the fan is. It can also tilt up and down to direct the air flow. The fan's two control buttons, speed and power, are located behind the fan at the top.The only negative that I find with the fan is that it's a little loud. It's not an offensive sound and in fact a lot of people find the sound of a fan soothing and use it for white noise. If I'm sitting right next to it, I have to turn it off to talk on the phone. But if its 10'-15' away, it doesn't interfere with conversation. The sound is quiet and soothing enough to run it all night in my bedroom without disturbing my sleep. Needed to replace an old 12" fan, for a back room. Have a Lasko high velocity standing fan, that I got several years ago, that works nicely. Thought I'd give this one a try. As several other reviews have said, the speeds are a bit stronger than my old fan. But not quite as strong as my high velocity one. Was easy to put together, just like the old one. On low speed, is fairly quiet. Higher speeds, does have a stronger hum. Nothing too annoying. So far working well. Update: Have been using during past few summers. Still working fine. Was worried about the grill being plastic. But hasn't been a problem. Kids are grown so don't have to worry about little fingers grabbing it. That would be a problem, can come off somewhat easy. At low speed it is quieter than a box fan and higher speeds does get a bit louder but don't mind, like the hum. And not so loud that it becomes irritating. Nice to have a table top fan that works almost as strong as my standing high velocity fan. I am in an area, that we don't really need ac all the time. During the summer, this helps get the hot air out fairly quickly, once the sun does down. Glad I got it. ... show more

I would definitely recommend this fan for smaller rooms. Compared to most fans I've used, this one is pretty quiet, but the little noise it does make is like a nice white noise for me (I'm a light sleeper). The price for this fan was really reasonable. I have to have circulating air in my room almost constantly so I didn't want to buy a really cheap fan that would die in a short period of time or one that would have to be set on high just to get some air flow. I'll tell you, this is a pretty powerful table top fan. I've never had to use any setting but low on mine, and it oscillates very smoothly. When you get this fan, you have to put it together yourself, but have no fear...it's extremely easy to do! And don't panic when you pull it out of the box and realize that it is all plastic and may, at first glance, seem cheaply made. This is a very light, but sturdy little fan. It's also very easy to take apart and clean, which you can't say about a lot of fans these days. I love this fan so much that I ordered another one for my office when our air conditioning quit working. Don't look any further for a nice table top fan. ... show more
