So i was previously using a fan i bought at Big Lots called bahammas breeze and although its a cheap fan it has lasted me about 6 years i looked for the fan on here and couldn't find it again so i attempted to try a new brand . After looking and reading reviews for days i decided to go with this one ! What got me was that it looked really nice and very well made and was said to be made from Germany ! Although it's a bit pricey you're definitely getting what you paid for ! It's very heavy i love that the fan is metal instead of plastic and the blades are plastic so i can wash them the base is really big but it's very strong and heavy which is good because my other fan the base was too light and it would fall alot to the point where i had to find my own base and mount it on so i love this one ! I love that not only does it have 3 settings but it has 2 more settings ! It has for low med and High plus the turbo and silent night . Suprisingly the low setting is still very strong and cold . I like loud fans so the noise doesnt bother me but its not as loud as my other fan . What's cool is when i watch t.v i would have to turn off my fan to really hear the t.v but with this fan i could put it on silent night and still be able to hear my t.v and have my fan on . The silent night setting is really cool !! Its actually very silent like the fan is not even on . The turbo setting is my favorite although there's really no need for it because all settings are great but if you want that extra high breeze its nice to have that setting . The remote is tiny but cute and i did not like that it did not come with batteries and the batteries are the big circle ones so i had to go to the store and buy them . But overall this fan was a GREAT purchase and im glad i took the risk to buy it !!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗 UPDATE: I bought in September of 2018 and today is August of 2025 and my fan is giving out after 7 great years the speed settings are changing by itself it goes to turbo low medium high low turbo again.... upon reading it said it could be an electrical problem or wiring being exposed or dust in the motor. I'm not about to take it apart and investigate it so it will be thrown away BUT, It did last a lot longer than I expected so it was definitely worth the purchase.     • Very quiet, but has a dumb LED that will light up your ceiling.

Very nice fan, and it should be given the price point. One glaring, stupid, completely dumbfounding design issue. The latter is why a 4/5 Pros: 1. Very quiet. 2. Remote - I didn't think I would use this, but it turns out I use it daily. Since I use the fan at night, it is convenient to keep the remote by the bed, the fan further away. ** The remote also is an important part in dealing with a serious flaw of this product! 3. Assembly was easy/ I actually couldn't find the instructions, and assembled it using common sense. Then, found the instructions about half way through. Total time was 10-20 minutes. 4. On silent, stirs the air just enough to feel like the central air is gently blowing. I bought this product because sleeping with a ceiling fan causes my eyes to dry out. Cons: 1. Has a white LED that stays on during use. The LED isn't too bright, but in dark room it illuminates the ceiling. This is egregious given the product is designed to use for sleeping. It is also difficult to blackout the LED, given that it *is* the button for turning on Silent Mode. See my work around at the end. 2. The fan can make a soft, plastic clicking sound when it oscillates to the limit right/left. It seems a sensor may not be sensitive enough to stop the fan until it press against some stopping barrier, which causes the clicks. Granted, this sound is really soft. More of a plastic creak than click, and it doesn't always do it. Stopping/restarting the fan can make it go away. -- Work around for the LED stupidity: Use the remote, and put something over the fan's actually builtin buttons. This was a must for me, or I would have returned the fan. It is simply unacceptable to have glaring light on a product I use for sleeping. ... show more

I've had this fan for almost two years now and use it daily. I've never used the remote and don't know if it came with a battery. Compared to the other fans I've had, it is very quiet. As with all fans, it gets louder when it goes faster. It has three main speeds, plus "Silent Night" and "Turbo Boost". Silent Night is good if you just want a little airflow in a room. From a few feet away it is very close to silent. Turbo Boost is very effective in preventing my sensitive smoke alarm from going off any time I use the stove. Decided to write a review because although I love this fan and would buy it again, there was one feature that drove me crazy: the ratcheting tilt adjustment barely held the fan head up and it would often drop to the lowest tilt setting. I see at least one other reviewer had this issue. After many quick looks to see if I could find something to adjust, I finally figured it out today. Right at the hinge point for the tilt, there are rounded, shiny, plastic caps. These have a little notch on one edge that allows you to pry with a flathead screwdriver. The cap won't come all the way off, but will bend back. One side reveals a nut and one side reveals the bolt head. Tighten the bolt head and everything is fixed. Since this was very annoying and I don't see other people mention it, I'm assuming that the fan usually comes with this screw tightened more than mine was. Also, the pre-made 18" plywood circles from Home Depot fit the base perfectly. I put six casters on one of those and can now roll the fan around easily. I need to move the fan often and this had made it an enjoyable exercise instead of a frustrating one. ... show more

I recently just got the fan 5 speed fan. First, I will monitor for rust on the guard, but seeing the reviews of rust are all from high humidity areas (Hawaii, Florida, etc), wish more people would put where they are from when reviewing something that has finish defects like this. I am from SLC UT, low humidity, dry environment. Other than cars rusting due to salt sprayed on the road during the winter, I have never seen anything else rust here in the 40 years I have been here. That being said, the fan so far is great, decent wind movement and VERY quiet. I have several fans due to liking the feeling of a breeze inside. Yes my wind machine does move more air, but at a MUCH louder penalty. A few things that I could not find elsewhere. First, this fan is controlled by an IC. That being said, if you use it with an AC inverter, generator, or the like, it has to be a pure sine wave inverter, using a clipped or maybe (stress maybe) a modified sinewave will easily burn it up. I say maybe on the modified as I am not going to risk burning it up to find out. But other fans with logic will be damaged when anything other than a pure sinewave inverter is used. Another thing, and Jeff J Dunn hit on it during his one star review. The fans control board powers up in a nominally off state, IE, if power is removed and reapplied, you must “turn it on” and when turned on it starts in the med fan position. That being said, if you plan on using a KASA. TPlink, WEMO or other smart outlet it will not work, since when it turns on, the fan will stay off, IE defeating the purpose. For those of us like me who run it off a battery bank/ inverter/ solar, here are wattage requirements using my kill-a-watt for monitoring. Silent= (which is a waste of energy in my book as the airflow is so low) 11W, Low= 39W, Med= 49W, High= 60W, Turbo= 67W. Compare this to the wind machine which is a simply motor driven fan with no real logic, operates with smart outlets and draws 70/85/100W (L/M/H). This data may impact your purchase, so its better to know ahead of time. As many other pointed out, the remote does not come with a battery, but CR2032 batteries are dirt cheap and most people will keep a few around since you typically get 10 or so for $4-5 on Amazon easily. Not going to knock the vendor for not providing them, but its good to know up front and the remote is not needed for operation. The fan also comes completely disassembled (the cage and blade are not even mounted to the motor, mine came with instructions but its so easy to put together, they are not needed. The only odd ball thing is something that is molded to the center nut of the blade shaft, the threads here are reverse threaded, so think backwards on this threading ONLY. All others are standard thread rotation. ... show more
