So my room has been going through trails and errors since it’s decent size. My room has carpet and I was using 2 mini fans and a large lasko stand fan to combat the heat. It didn’t work . So I decided to buy this fan. It worked great at night when the sun is down and the heat is at bay. But when the sun was up and out my fans didn’t stand a chance. So I decided to finally invest and get an AC. There’s just no way I can live for weeks and months in a hot room. When my AC arrived it was the perfect combination. I didn’t have to have multiple fans running. It’s just my AC and this fan on. It doesn’t take much space. The air flow is fine. Not loud. The power isn’t strong like a lasko stand fan but since the AC is on it doesn’t have to produce that much power. The remote is easy to use once you read the manual. The oscillation is good but if I want a steady flow of air I’d rather not have it on oscillation. The weight of it isn’t heavy you can easily transfer it to your room . Have 2 other Dreo fans. If I'm in need of a fan, Dreo is the 1st manufacture I look at. This tower fan replaced an outdated and old tower. This fan is super quiet! With the 9 speed settings this thing moves some air. Very powerful. Noise level, this is the quietest fan I've owned. Being able to remove the inner assembly makes cleaning extremely easy and the motor is a beast. Dreo fans are a little pricey but worth it. Very pleased with purchase. The base of the fan snaps together, looks like two screw holes, screws not included, I put in two screws so the tower does not turn in the base and fall out. For a standard size bedroom, puts out enough air on speed #3 and #4. Very quite on those two speeds, does not wobble or make any noise's. Cord is pretty much standard length, the plastic base seem sufficent for supporting the tower and the cooling efficently is excellent. I ordered white and the color goes just right ou our bedroom. I purchased this Dreo 42" towerfan as well as the Levoit 36" tower but ended up keeping the Levoit. Both are easy to operate with simple, functional control buttons. They both have a silent mode (buttons don't beep when you press them) which I appreciate. I like that the control buttons are on top of the Levoit vs on the side of the Dreo. Just makes it a little easier to use them on top vs on the side. Neither of them move the amount of air of an old-school floor fan but they're both adequate in that respect and it's nice to not have to bend down to reach the controls like you would on a floor fan. I'd say if your main concern is how much air the fan is able to move, the Dreo is a little stronger than the Levoit. And with this being a fan, that would certainly be a valid reason for some folks. But for me, I bought it for my bedroom and it came down to the fan noise. To my ears, the Levoit produces a more soothing sound than the Dreo, making it a better choice for sleeping. The Dreo's sound is more high pitched, while the Levoit's sound is at a lower register. I'd say the Dreo is white noise, while the Levoit is a more pleasant brown noise. If you're not familiar with the difference between white and brown noise, there's another Google search rabbit hole for you...lol. Overall, both are good fans, both move a fair amount of air with the Dreo a little better in that respect. I chose the Levoit because of the more soothing sound it made for my bedroom. The best tower fan I have ever bought. The fan is not too heavy to move around but still very stable. There is plenty of power to blow cold air throughout your home. The remote is convenient as well. I use this in my bedroom and the fan is nice and quiet. You can also have the lights turn off on the tower at night, so that is an added benefit for me who likes to sleep in complete darkness. ... show more

I'm so glad I purchased this! I live in VA and we've been experiencing a heat wave for a few weeks now. We're talking temps in the low 100s. My AC is running all the time and can't get under 77 on most days. This fan is AMAZING! Out of everything we've tried to help with the heat in the house, this has helped the most. We don't even have to be sitting in front of it to enjoy the temperature change. The whole room is cooler. Even my husband said this was a good purchase and he originally didn't have any hope for it to help! I love that there's a remote where I can change the speed, turn it on/off, turn on/off the oscillating feature or set a timer. It's great! It's not very loud even when running on high.
