Perfect Backyard Fan AND Mosquito Repellent‼️ Review Vantage Point: If you’re want the fan strictly for a “fan” do not read this review. If you’r considering this as a fan AND a Insect repellent keep reading. I am in a hot humid place with lots of Insects & mosquitoes. This perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes meant that I was rarely able to use my backyard. I’ve tried just about every product (yes, even the expensive ones). I could never deter/kill enough to make a meaningful difference. I needed to pivot. After research and experimenting I came to the conclusion that a strong fan pointing directly on me was extremely effective in keeping the insects off of me. The air literally blows them away or creates too much turbulence that they just move on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Build Quality: If you have any Dewalt power tools, it’s the same standard of quality. Extremely tough/durable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Portability: Very light, with many tilting angles and hanging options. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❓ Loudness: This is super subjective. You can easily carry on a conversation, but for some reason I still wish it was a bit quieter. Way quieter than a plug-in fan tho. ⭐️⭐️❓❓❓Value: The product works excellent, but it’s not cheap. The fan does not come with a battery and the price of DeWalt batteries are no joke. If you are already immersed in the Dewalt Eco system this is 5 out of 5, because you’ll already have plenty of their batteries. If you don’t already have Dewalt batteries this would be closer to 2 out of 5 stars in the value department…. Or would it? It’s less than 6 months of the service fee I was paying for the mosquito killer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️❓❓Battery Life: It depends on the specs of the DeWalt battery that you purchased for the Fan. My normal size batteries last approximately five hours, and that’s plenty of time for me. This may be totally different for you. P.S. Update July 11, 2023: Okay, so now that I’ve had the fan a few months after posting my initial review with the pros and cons below I’m changing my rating from four to five stars. This thing is sooo great. I know it’s only a fan, but I use it EVERYDAY. It’s efficient, quiet, and it blows! I also understand not having an oscillating function (mentioned earlier as a con below) as this would likely decrease the durability of this rugged fan. Very glad I dropped some coin on this one. Pros: 1. Overall great breeze. Very powerful for the size. 2. Nice and quiet 3. Efficient battery life 4. Multiple hanging/mounting options Cons: 1. Cost 2. Fan screen does not pop off/out to clean. I’ll admit that I’m a Dewalt Fan Boy but this thing even impressed me above and beyond what I expected. This fan is no joke - it’s built like the rest of there 20V tools. Not some cheap yellow plastic which is what I kinda expected. It’s made with the same plastic that they make there drills, impacts etc. this thing is tough as nails! Put a 5ah battery in it crank it up and enjoy a stiff breeze for several hours even turned all the way up. When I say breeze I mean breeze - at full throttle this thing pushes about 5x as much air as you’d expect from a fan this size. I bought it on a whim but I find myself dragging it around and using all the time. Super handy to have a fan you can just drop wherever you need it and not have to worry about a cord. During the 100+ Texas heat wave this we lost power over night. Tossed this thing on the dresser and it made what would have been a mattress soaked sleepless night into a somewhat bearable nights sleep till the power returned. It's a great fan. Moves air even outside. I use the 6 Amp hour 20/60 volt batteries. It runs a decent time on them. When it was in the triple digits outside it helped keep me cool by moving the air.

I bought this Dewalt fan used from Amazon since it was a great price. The box had an Amazon warehouse sticker on it that indicated the fan was returned, but other than that the fan seemed new. No obvious marks and it works great! I love every Dewalt tool I have, and I’m glad to add this fan to my arsenal. I suppose you could call me a real Dewalt fanboy now!!! ... show more
