I like the enclosure because it has a decent size for at least 10 chickens, fairly simple to setup and very inexpensive. My only issue was with the flat top that when it rains hard the top poles gave out and one broke, so I had to cut the canvas to avoid water retention. Assembly requires patience.

I got this pen for my chickens. I need something quick and easy to put together because my chickens were growing up so fast! This pen fit the bill. It was in my budget and I was able to out it up myself. I’m a 52 yr old lady with back problems. The door was a challenge for me to do it by myself so I would recommend having a second person helping. Overall it meets my needs and the chickens are enjoying the extra space. It gives you pins to anchor in the ground but I haven’t done that yet. I also haven’t put the tarp on it yet either. It comes with a tarp that is white in one side and gray on the other so you can reflect the sun. It seems very durable and it attached with a bungee style loop cord. They do give you enough chicken wire to put around it but just enough so make sure you are precise with how you install it and follow the directions! I do lift the fact that sine it is a small and lock your of assembly, if needed it can be disassembled just as easy and reassembled if you need to change its location. The frame is light enough that you can move it around to get the perfect location but attaching the chicken wire. They do supply zip ties to attach the chicken wire but you will need more for extra security. For the price point, you can’t go wrong with this one.

As far as the space, my hens love it & so does my family. It was very easy for me & my husband to assemble. It’s also easy to move it around to new spots if we wanted to. The netting is not safe though. Predators easily get inside because the netting is so flimsy. My hens were attacked by neighbor’s dogs that got into the netting with no issue getting in or out. Luckily, me & my husband heard the hens distress calls, which saved them from being taken out, but they were severely injured. Also, rain collects on the tarp, putting too much weight on the poles that hold the structure up. This bends & breaks the poles, leaving the structure dented in. I had to find other ways for the water to not collect on the tarp just to keep the structure from completely caving in over my hens main coop, which is inside this one. I’ve since added more protection for my hens by replacing the netting with actual metal wire netting. It’s now more sturdy & safe for our hens. I’ve already reached out to the company about the poles easily breaking after rains with no response.

I built it and the next day it sprinkled for a couple hours, I came out to the whole thing caved in.. the tarp just holds water on the flimsy materials which crumbles the whole thing. Very annoying to put the chicken wire on, the poles minus well be plastic straws..you will need way more zip ties then they give you. I bought two of these that didn’t last a week..

I did not use the green chicken wire it came with , but instead bought black square wire for a a different look. I recommend investing in a thicker size zip tie, if you go that route in my pic you can see where they’ve disintegrated. This really works for me. We’ve moved it twice , so not too heavy. It did take four people to move and we did spend a day with total 6 people getting this 90% completed.
