It’s actually bigger than the photos show, but honestly perfect size. Their coop fits inside of it with plenty of room. Instructions were awesome. It took me about 4ish hours (with multiple breaks) to put together but I was also deep cleaning their coop!

Living on a farm, I am always looking for ways to give my chickens more room to roam while still keeping them protected, so I was excited to try this walk-in chicken run. After getting it assembled, I found it to be a nice addition to the backyard. The size provides plenty of space for a small flock to move around, scratch, and forage instead of feeling cramped. Being able to walk inside the enclosure makes feeding, cleaning, and collecting supplies much easier than trying to reach through a small door. Assembly took a little time, but the instructions were easy enough to follow, and once everything was put together, the frame felt sturdy. I especially liked the upgraded door design, which closed securely and didn't have the twisting or alignment issues that some larger enclosures can develop. The included waterproof cover is another feature I appreciate. It provides shade during hot days and gives the chickens a dry area when it rains. Living in an area with unpredictable weather, having that extra protection is a definite plus. The wire mesh feels adequate for keeping chickens safely contained during the day. As with any run, I would recommend securing the bottom if predators are common in your area, since raccoons, foxes, and other determined animals can dig. Adding landscape staples, hardware cloth, or a buried wire apron can provide extra peace of mind. One thing I really enjoy is how much happier the chickens seem with the additional space. They spend more time scratching, dust bathing, and exploring, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Overall, this is a roomy and practical chicken run that offers a good amount of space, a convenient walk-in design, and useful weather protection. This chicken coop has been working very well for my chickens, I have 6 chickens in here. I put my son's old bunk bed frame in here for them to roost on. The door makes it simple to go in and collect eggs and feed and water them. I let them out sometimes during the day so they can wander around and eat bugs. (If I let them out too often they like to wander to my neighbors and use her flower bed as a dust bath.) This set up is great for summertime, I will have to add something solid for them for winter time though. ... show more
