  • Great value for the money.
Size: 120.0"L x 79.2"W x 76.8"H
I’m very happy with this large metal chicken coop overall! The size is great, and it provides plenty of space for my chickens to move around comfortably. Installation was surprisingly easy — the instructions were clear, and the improved pole connections really helped speed things up. I was able to put it together without much hassle. One thing that really impressed me was the coated wire mesh. I didn’t expect that detail at all, and it looks much nicer than standard wire. It gives the coop a clean, polished appearance and feels like a thoughtful upgrade. If I had one suggestion, it would be to make the wire a bit thicker. While it seems fine for everyday use, I do have some concerns about whether it could fully withstand attacks from larger predators. That said, for the price, the quality and features you get are excellent. With the sturdy steel frame, waterproof cover, and overall design, this coop is a great value for the money. ... show more

  • Use the chicken wire to your advantage during installation
Size: 228.0"L x 108.0"W x 78.0"H
First, I'm giving it 5 stars because for $200, it's fantastic. If you want a sturdy, bear proof run, you'll need to build it with wood and hardware cloth, and prayers. This size will set you back at least a thousand bucks and require much more time and effort to build. This is a lightweight, inexpensive run to keep chickens in, not to prevent predation. I built this as a run to attach to my coop so my birds have more freedom but are still fenced so they can't scratch up my newly planted gardens. We are also done tripping in their little ankle busting dust baths that they make all over our property! I'm using an automatic door to allow them access to the run during the day. At night, they'll be safely tucked into a secure coop my husband built with... You guessed it... Wood and hardware cloth. The run goes together easily enough if you are careful to use the correct poles and place them correctly. It's also easy to move said poles when you realize you put them in the wrong way. Everyone is saying that they used an abundant amount of zip ties and this is why I came to leave a review. The chicken wire easily wires to itself. Snip a little section and wrap around and around a few times. Wear good gloves. I also wrap it around the poles and use the wire to attach to itself. It also comes with a really long piece of wire that is used to keep the roll in place. Use that too! I find it much easier to wire it to itself, and to use wire instead of all those zip ties. I use a few zip ties for additional help and for holding things in place while I cut the wire and get the tension in the right places. But for the majority of the attachment, use the wire itself! I'm also going to modify the build just to give the roof a little more support. I plan to run a cable parallel to the middle support bar on the top maybe 2 ft on each side just to prevent the wire from sagging. For the price, this is a great addition to my existing coop. ... show more

  • Not high end but worth it for the price.
Size: 228.0"L x 108.0"W x 78.0"H
You are paying for the base frame and door only - the rest of it is garbage, YOU WILL NEED MODIFICATIONS. Check reviews for how people modified theirs. Here's what I did: I used it to house my vegetable garden and keep squirrels, chipmunks etc out. Frame is very easy to put together with two people. You can walk it around if you need to move it. The chickenwire and zip ties that come with this coop are trash. I bought heavy duty hardware cloth separately and "sewed" it on using both galvanized wire and steel zip ties (be careful of sharp edges if youre keeping animals). The roof will sag at the corners if you don't add an extra bar/T clamp like another person shared in her review. I layered up the cheap chickenwire and used it to line the floor so nothing could dig in, then covered with dirt and mulch. Dig those walls into the ground (friend also buries broken glass for her coop), added a brick perimeter too for good measure, used U shaped trampoline stakes to hold the structure down. For the gaps in the door you can use greenhouse panel to close them off. It is easy to cut. Drill holes in the panel and use the wire/metal zip ties to secure to the door frame. The lock that comes with the coop is also trash. I zip tied two blocks of wood onto the door and frame and screwed on a door latch i bought separately (Its a gravity lock so I put a string in case I accidentally locked myself in). I also used a gate anti-sag kit to strengthen the door and keep it from warping. The entire setup has worked all summer with no issue. Nothing got in except me and the bees! ... show more

  • More secure than I expected. Made a catio!
Size: 120.0"L x 79.2"W x 76.8"H
I was kind of expecting this to be a little bit more flimsy than it was. Directions weren't amazing, but my daughter and I put it together relatively easily. Please keep in mind that the geometrics aren't accurate so we initially tried to put the ends on the wrong direction. Once we got that figured out, it went together pretty easily. The door is a bit flimsy, and the handle is relatively pathetic so mine is closed using bungee cords because I'm trying to keep in cats not just chickens. In that theme, because my cats are escape artists, I wound wire around all of the existing poles to secure the chicken wire better than zip ties. I know firsthand the zip ties get dry and crack and I didn't need any escaping felines! It was a colossal pain in the neck, but I feel very confident that my cats won't be able to push through any of the areas on the chicken wire. I also "sewed" shut any overlapping seams with wire to make sure they wouldn't pull apart with a curious nose or claw. I liked that the chicken wire is plastic coated so it wasn't so abrasive when I was working with it . Kind of wish that the tent poles it came to secure it to the ground were a little bit more robust but I will just have to purchase my own to make sure it doesn't make into a kite in the spring and fall. So far so good! ... show more
