With big handles which stay very cool during the most extreme of frying. These Lamfo pans are an excellent addition for the stovetop and oven (less the handle, screwoff). There was a similar pan made in Japan where it was twice $ for a ten inch. There is a real piece of mind while cooking on high and there is no chemical coatings involved with the pan surface. Over the years I've gone through multiple pan brands until I found this set of 3 Lamfo cast iron skillets. These are my go-to pans above all others. They cook evenly without food sticking, and clean up easily (I always handwash my skillets to preserve the patina and cure). The extra plus is being able to go from stovetop to oven by just simply unscrewing the handle. I wish Lamfo made more products, I'd be the first to try. The pans are a hybrid cast iron that cook well and are a breeze to clean. The pans are a little heavy but not as heavy as real cast iron. Great for induction cooktops. Highly recommend!

They are surprisingly light for what they are. I would have loved them if they were flat bottom, straight sided. From the pictures, I thought that is what they were. They have a very rounded bottom to side curve so for me they would not work. I never thought I would fall in love with a kitchen pan but it happened. Most of my life I've used cheap aluminum non stick or stainless steel cookware. It works but I didn't know what I was missing until I tried this LAMFO cast iron skillet. The heat distribution from edge to edge is great. I really have to watch what I cook because it cooks about 20% faster than my SS pans. Nothing sticks either. For cleaning, I follow the directions and wipe the pan out with paper towels. Always hand wash. Use a small amount of detergent and soft brush and clean it. Rinse and immediately dry it. I then recoat it inside and out with a very thin coat of veggie oil with a paper towel and it looks brand new again. Try it you will like it. Very good price too. ... show more

I rarely write reviews. I paid for this Pan set and lucked out. I usually prefer to cook on cast iron. For those who know the maintenance on cast iron you understand. For those who have yet to experiencing seasoning pans. You should know the the hassel if you allow one to rust is very time consuming. Regular upkeep is tedious, and sanding a pans rust off to reason or keep a perfect slick finish is aggravating at best. In my experience this pan performs at the same level and is much easier to maintain. Food slides off it's surface and it cleans in seconds. Eggs glide off the pan. Searing steaks and hasbrowns are a breeze. I really love these pans. In the future I hope they make a larger 12" version with less roundness. I have a large family and flat Pan surface area is a must for me. 10/10 worth the investment. I have not used the dishwasher they clean easily enough by hand.
