I like that the heater is small and be easily stored to make traveling much easier. I use the heater to heat the water when camping or on long hikes. The water is heated very easy and quickly. Item: Lakkzoom Portable Immersion Water Heater,Electric Pool Water Heater for Above Ground Pool Bathtub,Anti-scalding Bucket Heater Camping Water Heater Heat 5 Gallons of Water in Minutes(Pink) This heating wand is like the size of a baton and must be fully submerged to avoid a fire hazard when heating. There were a lot of safety instructions but that was the main one. I tested this in a tall pot, fully submerged the wand, and used the included temperature gauge to watch the temp rise! Within 3-4 minutes the cold water I started with was now over 180 degrees and quickly rising. This was easy to use, heats water quickly, and would be great to use when camping, if you have an electrical outlet handy. I liked that it came with a temperature gauge and a a stainless steel cleaning cloth, I would assume would come in handy if you are heating up water that isn't particularly clean. The listing says it will heat 5 gallons of water in minutes, and based on my experience I think it would probably take at least 20-30 minutes to accomplish this. Overall, I think it's a cool device, easy to use, clean, and handy for camping or other outdoor excursions where you may have an electrical outlet available to you. ... show more

Versatile water heater is HOT! Just what I needed to do my winter tiling job done in comfort. Wet saws with cold water make winter tiling a pain on the hands, joints and skin. This solution works like a charm. 2.5 gallons of water went from 54 degrees to 70 in 5 minutes with outside temp in the 50's. The water temp from the bottom to the top though, varied substantially due to the depth. So a little stirring might be needed, depending on what you need the water for. In my case, when I pour it into the tile saw tub, it will mix and average out. They do make tile saw water heaters, but I'm reluctant to leave something like that in my saw for fear of shock or burning everything up if unattended while setting tile. This way, I am forced to manually manage and unplug! I like this and the pink color! I can find it easily amongst the pile of other tools when needed! Side note: The included thermostat has no on/off switch. Curious how long it will last. No biggie. ... show more

I tested this out in a large pot of water and it did indeed heat it up fairly quickly and got quite hot (not sure how hot, as the free thermometer that came with it doesn't work). I got this product because we have a large garden tub and our hot water usually runs out before the entire thing is full, making it not as hot as I would like it to be. It seems like this will work perfectly for that purpose, although it will take some time. The product itself is very heavy duty so I don't have concerns about submerging it water like I would if it was cheaply made. I am happy with this and am looking forward to when it's cold enough outside that I want a hot bath. ... show more

We have a monstrous tub in our master bathroom that my wife and kids like to fill to the brim on a pretty regular basis. The tub is so large, that our aging hot water heater has a hard time keeping up. In the past this has meant that the tub has to be filled in stages, making the whole process incredibly inefficient and time consuming. Thankfully, this immersive water heater cuts down on the overall fill time by allowing them to continue to fill the tub with lukewarm water towards the end of the process while continuing to heat – or maintain the heat – of the entire tub. There are some obvious precautions that need to be taken with a product like this, and I highly recommend that anyone using it very strictly adhere to the guidelines provided both here on this product listing and in the manual. Someday I’ll wise up and install an inline water heater but, in the meantime, this device speed things up enough to be deemed truly useful. I don’t know that it will mater to everyone, but my wife loves that it’s hot pink! ... show more

    • Handy little device!
This will be perfect for our little inflatable pool in the summer! I used to have to connect our hose to one of the faucets inside so I could warm up the water for the kids, but with this device I don't have to do all that! I tested it out in the sink since it is currently fall/winter where I am, and it did great! They provide you with a thermometer so you can unplug the device once the water reaches your desired temperature. I wish that were built in but for the price I can't complain! ... show more

I've been using this to get my bathtub to a higher temperature than my water heater seems to allow in the winter. It takes a while to heat the whole tub even a few degrees, but that's about what I expected since it's typically intended for smaller quantities of water. I also wish I could touch the water to test the temperature while it's working, but I realize that's a safety risk for any water heater! My only real complaint is that there's no instructions for the thermometer, and it doesn't seem to have a way to turn it off once you've pulled the plastic tab out to activate the battery. I also can't get the battery compartment to open, so hopefully the button batteries that came with it will last a while because they're essentially non-replaceable. ... show more
