I purchased this chair this week, and assembled it this morning, so I cannot speak to longevity, but I can speak to some of the concerns I saw from other reviews. I am 6'4", 300 lbs. I am athletically built with wide, strong legs but I am no power lifter and the 16 oz curls have left me with a decent gut (XXXLT Shirts, 52L jacket, 42" waist). If I sit back, the cushion is plenty deep. It is very solidly built if assembled correctly and I have no fear that it will fall apart any time soon. My chair looks like it had been unboxed and reboxed a couple of times, so I did find two small slits in the leather on one of the arms, but I reached out to La-Z-Boy to see if they would address that for me [Pending resolution] Overall I am pleased with the purchase and looking forward to long work days over my previous dining room chair. I did purchase rollerblade style wheels to protect my hardwoods ("The Office Oasis Original Rollerblade Chair Wheels, Set of 5, Universal Fit") and they snapped in easily to this chair. As for the manufacturer, the chairs caster ports, a couple were slightly off-center causing the chair to tilt. We contacted TrueInnovations for a replacement base to keep the chair level. Overall very comfortable for long sittings in home/office throughout the day. I don't feel that its as wide of a seating as the Serta Air which allows more room from side to side. I say this being 190lbs and 5'-9" its doesn't feel like a big & tall for the overall extra room I was looking for. I saw a YouTube video which made this chair look huge in the video. Also saw some images online whereas Costco used to sell this model and it looked huge there too. But, in person it feels average size as most chairs, maybe a bit wider, but not that much. Still really comfortable and it looks boss to sit in. The tilt works well, too. I keep the height on the lowest setting, I'm not that tall. The backing only extends to my neck area, figured it would be a bit higher. The stonewashed looking wood armrests and base look amazing and compliment the chair overall. The padding in the seating never causes any fatigue. The front end where the legs are has a waterfall effect to keep circulation in the legs flowing nicely. The overall craftsmanship of this executive chair is very stylish and compliments my home/office Evodesk. I do have to commend support on my base replacement. Because the wooden base is on backorder, they are sending a stand-in base replacement until the other one arrives. That's great service. When shopping for desk chairs, I wanted something amazing, not just average, but one that looks great and has great performance throughout the day. This chair does the job and I look forward to my new base replacement. In putting the chair together it only took 20-25 minutes tops. Just be sure to read the instructions and you'll be good to go! If LaZBoy would make this exact model with a higher backing and a wider seating, it would rival any other high-end desk chairs, imo.     • Super-Comfortable, Strong and Beautiful; a Great Chair~!

When chosing a desk-chair for the home office I decided to go with a relatively speaking "high-end" choice, finally settling on this La-Z-Boy chair because it received consistently high ratings by prior buyers. Well, it's here, and WOW~! I am not disappointed~! The leather material is supple and richly textured & the cushions are perfectly comfortable. The chair feels as though it's contoured for my body {6' 1" & 330-lbs.}. But it turns out that other, smaller people get that feeling too, as my son, (who is 5'10" & 155-lbs} "fits" in this La-Z-Boy perfectly well, also. The chair has two simple levers, one on each side of the seat cushion. One is to control the hight of the chair, and the other is to control the "rocking-chair" functions. The chair is well designed in this regard, as anyone within reasonable body hight parameters is able to adjust the hight of the chair to allow themselves to sit comfortably at a desk, with hands at a correct angle to type on a keyboard. The second lever allows one to rock, or not to rock. I chose complete stationary, with zero rocking, and the chair effortlessly maintains that setting, even when my 330-lb. body tries to test the chairs durability by trying to force a rocking; but this good chair won't budge, maintaining the correct setting. Although my opinion my change, depending on how the chair holds up to the test of time, but for now I can say that I am simply delighted with my purchase~! The chair is super-comfortable and well designed. It also appears to be perfectly strong enough to stand up to its "Big & Tall" product description. If the chair fails me at a later date that is sooner than what I would figure to be reasonable, then I will adjust my review. But, for now, I have to say that amongst all the Big-&-Tall chairs out there that I had to choose from, I feel like I've found a hidden gem. I simply can't find a negtative things to say about it in this review~! I highly recommend this chair, especially for someone who's fat like me and needs a plush, comfy desk-chair that ain't wimpy~! ... show more
