Let me just start by saying I never write reviews. But this product amazed me, so I feel like I definitely should tell my story. My cholesterol had been bad for at least 10 years. Had been getting worse each year. Dr wanted me on a statin and I refused. I have a lot of heart disease in my family so I needed to try something . I was recommended this product by a friend. So I told my dr if it didn’t work, I would go on a statin . Well the numbers don’t lie. It worked! So amazed! Total cholesterol went from 269 to 217 LDL went from 173 to 136 HDL went from 46 to 56 TRI went from 252 to 125 No statins for me!!! Garlic is the key!

Basically, I am a senior who has followed a lifestyle of healthy food (mostly) and exercise since after the birth of my first child. I've researched and consumed hundreds of supplements. Fifteen years ago, I started on BP meds due to my inherited genes. In 2019, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol. Dr. wanted me on statins. Told him I wanted to try it myself first as statins show bad side effects. He doesn't believe in supplements. Says there's no science. He said I couldn't do it myself and that I could die of a heart attack. (Fear tactic) He wanted me back in 2 months. Then I found Kyolic Cholesterol 104. Two months later, I had blood work and I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY RESULTS! My cholesterol went from 233 to 203! It dropped 30 points in less than 2 months! Just had latest physical. He said my circulation (ankle pulse area) is GREAT and that my health is EXCELLENT. Going for blood work next week. Anxious to see the results. According to the Wikipedia article on lecithin: "Research suggests soy-derived lecithin has significant effects on lowering serum cholesterol and triglycerides, while increasing HDL ("good cholesterol") levels in the blood of rats.[29][30] However, a growing body of evidence indicates lecithin is converted by gut bacteria into trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO), which is absorbed by the gut and may with time contribute to atherosclerosis and heart attacks.[31][32][33]"

Every body is different, but after 18 months these have lowered the total cholesterol from about 280 down to 175 - increased the good stuff and decreased the bad stuff (including lowered triglycerides). Since we did not change our diets I'd have to attribute the improvement to Kyolic Garlic. We take 2 per day at breakfast.

Dr. wanted me to take statins. Three months later at recheck she was so pleased at the lab results from being on the statins. I finally admitted to her I was not taking the statins she prescribed. I just changed a few things in my diet and used this product! She wasn't quite sure how to respond. I'm not recommending anyone do as I did, I am stubborn and didn't like the things I have read about statins and side effects. I take them as directed, 2 capsules twice a day with a meal

I've been using Kyolic Candida formula capsules for two years. When I went to reorder I mistakenly got the tablets which smell quite bad and turned my stomach. So decided to exchange those and try the cardiovasular formula because I have high cholesterol and battling. Got them fast hence the good rating. Took them the same day and ended up having an allergic reaction an hour later. Amazon was good about refunding me. Come to find our the Lecithin in this is soy based and those with peanut allergies like I have can have an allergic reaction to them. Wanted people to know that this is a good seller and the product is great, but not for those with nut allergies.
