I recently purchased this deadbolt for my front door, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. The installation process was straightforward and took me less than 30 minutes with just a screwdriver. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary hardware was included, making the setup hassle-free. One of the standout features is the SmartKey Security, which allows me to re-key the lock myself in seconds. This added flexibility is a game-changer, especially if you need to change keys without replacing the entire lock. The lock feels sturdy and well-made, providing a sense of security for my home. The satin nickel finish gives it a sleek and modern look that complements my door’s aesthetics. It’s not just about looks; the lock operates smoothly, and the key turns effortlessly without any sticking. I also appreciate the Microban protection, which keeps the surface cleaner and more hygienic. Overall, this deadbolt offers excellent value for the price. It’s a reliable, secure, and stylish addition to any door. If you’re looking for an easy-to-install lock with the added benefit of re-keying flexibility, this is a solid choice.

This is the perfect, straightforward deadbolt for anyone wanting to improve their home's security without complexity. Installation was a breeze and took less than 30 minutes with a standard screwdriver. The standout feature is the SmartKey re-keying system. I was able to match it to my existing house key in under 60 seconds myself—no locksmith needed. It feels solid, operates smoothly, and the design is clean and durable. For a reliable, heavy-duty lock that's easy to install and offers brilliant key control, the Kwikset 660 is an exceptional value and a great choice for any door. Highly recommended.

Kwikset is a Known and Respected brand for home door locks. Installation is straightforward and scanning a provided QR Code on the box provides instructions for those who've never installed one. For the Experienced Installer, it's pretty much a "no brainer". ALL the necessary hardware is included and the only tools needed are a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a drill with a 3/32" bit for making pilot holes for the door latch screws (if needed). These locks last for DECADES and, once you have a Kwikset LATCH installed in the door, you can replace the "lock set" any time you desire as all Kwikset "locksets" fit all Kwikset latches.

I installed this Kwikset 660 deadbolt a few weeks ago to replace an older keypad deadbolt, and so far it’s been a solid, no-frills option that does what it’s supposed to do. It has a slightly flimsy cover, but overall, right for the price. Installation was straightforward and quick. Everything lined up properly, and it came with two keys, which was a plus. The lock operates smoothly and hasn’t given me any issues since installing it. The components do feel fairly lightweight, which matches the price point. It doesn’t have a heavy or premium feel, but nothing about it feels flimsy in actual use either. Once installed, it feels secure and functions reliably. One helpful tip for installation: if the knob direction doesn’t match your door setup, you can flip the entire deadbolt assembly upside down instead of trying to force it. That made the install much easier. Overall, this is a good choice if you want a simple, affordable deadbolt that’s easy to install and gets the job done. If you’re looking for a heavier, more premium feel, you may want to spend more, but for basic home use, this one is perfectly fine.

Needed this quickly because the whole cylinder came out of the previous deadbolt. Was fun to get that deadbolt to unlock. Knocked a star for that reason. The new one is good so far, just not happy I had to get a new one in the first place. I didn't want to get a new key for all my locks and these make it easy to adjust to your key so went with one of these again.

Not a lot to say about this one, but it works well and seems better made than some I've used costing several times the price. I didn't see this mentioned in the listing, but it has the feature where you can re-key it to match your existing (kwikset only) key if you want. I was putting it in a door that is never accessed from the outside so I didn't bother but I've got a couple with the same feature on another building and they still work smoothly, and they've held up for 7 or 8 years so far. These are not high security locks but most crooks don't pick locks. They use a wrecking bar, kick doors in, or just break a window. These are still stronger than most residential door frames so unless you've reinforced yours of bought high quality doors and frames, they're more than adequate for most folks. All in all, a decent lock for the money.
