The convenience outweighs the inconvenience. The time is almost impossible to set. Had to fiddle with it for awhile. The buttons are small and too close together. But it's the right size and battery operated and a good price. The light is good at night. I only have to reset the time when the batteries have to be changed. The red led numbers are easy to read daytime, and night. However, they are not too bright for night time use, even in a bedroom. I have only had them for a week, but after syncing them with my iPhone they are still keeping perfect time, a week later. I originally bought a red led, and one blue led of this same model. Our new cable box didn’t come with a clock. After 1 day of looking for the time on the old box, I started searching Amazon. Boy are there a lot to choose from. Works great as advertised. I have mine on the wall of the utility portion of my basement. The wall attachment is a single screw head key slot. You need to set the screw depth precisely to get the friction set, but once there, it is good.
