This is an awesome space heater. I use it in my office while I'm teaching online. It works really well in our house when we don't have the heat on, especially in the fall and spring months. It really takes the chill off in my room. During the winter months when it was really cold ( -20 or -30 degrees below zero), this heater was able to take the chill out of my kitchen. I wanted a small heater for my home office which is approximately 12' x 14'. One that also featured a remote was one that I preferred. I started with a Lasko model because it was a featured discounted item at Costco and I liked Lasko's overall quality with respect to some floor fans I purchased months ago for summertime use. The overall performance of the Lasko space heater, if not off the charts great, it was acceptable. However, the remote would not work. (I tried a different Lasko model and had the same experience.) Both were returned to the stores where I puchased them. I quickly determined that a design or manufacturin issue was the problem with the Lasko remotes and that it is such an issue that Lasko even posted a "fix it" link on the internet to correct the problem. Sadly, it was a futile effort. Next up, I bought a Honeywell. I'm not sure if Honeywell is the actual manufacturer or it licenses it brand. Whatever, I found the performance to be lacking and return that also. That brings me to this Kopbeau. For me, this is a "keeper". It's almost half the size of the units I had previously purchased and returned. From almost the instant I powered it up, the heater started producing hot air. The remote worked (a +). The thermostat function worked perfectly, halting operation when the room reached the desired temperature. The time it took to get my room to the desired temperature was slightly faster than the other units I tried. The only "con" I could give this product would be it's price. In my opinion, it is probably 10 to 20 dollars more expensive than the other units I tried. Still, I plan to keep it.

This is a very good heater and all the positives that have been stated in previous reviews are essentially true. One item that was important to me was the sound of the fan; it is NOT loud. I measured the sound level which is about 58dB. The one thing that I am not happy about, wish was different and prevented me from giving this heater 5 stars is the temperature control. The actual controls on the heater and the remote are excellent, but the temperature variant for turning the heater on is 5 degrees, a number that I believe should be 3 degrees. If I set the thermostat at 72 degrees, it will not turn on until the temperature reaches 67 degrees. That is too low. So I find myself changing the settings throughout the day to maintain a temperature within 3 degrees of 72. Then at night I must decide where to set the thermostat to stay somewhere near 72, but it will usually be a little too hot or too cold depending on the final setting. Based on the otherwise excellent technology of this small and efficient heater, I believe it would have been possible for the designer and manufacturer to program a 3 degree variant into the thermostat to keep the actual temperature closer to the setting. That IMO would have made this heater "perfect"!

I love this because the remote makes it easy to turn it on. Last thing you want to do when your cold is get out of bed to turn on a heater. The remote lets you turn it on right from bed!

This little sucker gets hot! Kept the office warm when the heat broke. Office is about a 15 by 25ft room. Remote is a nice feature and the temperature adjustment is nice. You can also turn the burners off and use it just as a fan. Not the strongest fan but keeps some air circulating.
