Most importantly, even though I have had fish tanks for years, I am always hesitant when buying filters that aren’t the brand recommended by the tank when I purchase it because of size issues. I've been useing these over a year now while they're easy to use they get crazy gunked up in my Betta tank by one month they need changing out and by 1 1/2 month in my guppy tank I do not understand the difference the Betta tank has him ,a snail and bamboo while the guppy tank has a school of guppies a snail and no love plants ATM .... I'll definitely be getting pumps and sponge filters when I can but while I have so much going on this is the easiest cheaper option in the short run long term just get a pump and sponge filter it really doesn't cost much for smaller tanks I'm just that low income right now ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The box always comes damaged somehow. I've ordered these multiple times. Always the same thing. The filters are good mostly but will get dirty kind of fast then you go through them more quickly
