You can conveniently install the Energy Star-certified WAC8003WCO in almost any space you need; it's designed to fit windows from 23 to 36 inches wide with a minimum height of 14 inches. Take advantage of the unit's included remote control to adjust features and operation settings from up to 16 feet away. This window air conditioner meets strict requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to guarantee eco-friendly operation. This unit uses the energy efficient coolant of the future R32, which surpasses even R410 in capacity and coefficient of performance. The Koldfront WAC8003WCO offers several energy-saving features, such as check filter alert, thermostat-controlled operation, sleep mode and more The WAC8003WCO's sleep mode will ensure you're resting comfortably while helping save on costly energy bills. This function will adjust the temperature periodically by 2 degrees F before returning to the set temperature after six (6) hours This function will cycle the fan for two minutes at 10-minute intervals until the ambient room temperature is above your set temperature, at which time the compressor will kick back on and resume cooling Take advantage of the unit's control panel with digital display and three (3) fan speeds to easily control airflow, along with a dehumidifying function to cleanse your space of excess moisture Use this model's included remote control to conveniently adjust temperature settings and switch between operation modes from up to 16 feet away

The AC was packaged very securely and easy to open. The box just lifted off after the straps were cut. The AC had all the accessories needed to install and then some. I have three window units and this is the best one yet. The 10,000 BTU works beautifully and cools off the room. On energy saver it shuts off until it needs to cool again. It is cooling my living room and kitchen which are 550 sq ft. I even found myself turning up the temp because I was getting cold. It was 85 degrees today and with my other window unit I had trouble getting the temperature in the house below 75. Today it was 67 inside and too cool for me. GREAT! It is in the same room as the TV and I didn't have to turn up the volume to hear the TV over the AC. You will be happy with this purchase! ... show more

This A/C unit has been a dream come true. We have one 550+ square ft. room that needs it's own unit. We have had 2 other fancy name brands over the past 7 years, THIS one really cools & it doesn't run all the time, esp. in our southern heat down here in Mississippi!! When the compressor comes on, it is a little loud, but it's high-efficiency so it is suppose to make that sound. Make sure you follow all the instructions and take time to read the manual, it's worth it! Only thing negative I want to mention is you can only adjust the vents side to side, the manual states they can go up & down, we just don't see how without breaking it. Great A/C, very effective and cost efficient!! Remote is a good size for bigger hands & easy to read. Best purchase for my money in a LONG time! Thank you! ... show more

We bought 2 of the Koldfront 12000 btu air conditioners. We've only had them in for the last month but we are very happy with them so far. My husband is very impressed with their sturdy build and they have definitely kept our rooms cool. I wouldn't say their quiet but I don't think an air conditioner that big can be quiet. We were also very happy with the sturdiness of the side curtains. I can't really speak to efficiency yet because I haven't received an energy bill, but having them on the efficiency setting is helpful for certain. I would suggest that people buy a support for the window. We bought two of the ones Amazon suggested and my husband said he wished we can gotten them years ago. For this size air conditioner you really have to have the extra support. ... show more

    • Caution when using Fedex to ship.

My unit works very well, very happy with its performance. It arrived damaged due to Fedex. The back of the unit cabinet was bent inwards (screws facing inwards) the bottom of the unit cabinet is bent inwards and I also had to bend the radiator fins back straight with an old credit card in the back. The front bezel came cracked on the front right bottom side completely detached and the left side is nearly in the same state. I can't blame the manufacturer for this. I received this on a Saturday and was home. I didn't hear the truck come to my home but I did hear when he threw the AC onto my driveway. ... show more

Great AC, not noisy at all, installed cleanly with good side panels and I used an angle bracket to make the window install a breeze in this 1979 townhouse with stucco exterior. It's nice and cold too. Will post photos and update soon.

I didn't get a remote and the lip that you attach to the window has me a little sketched out. Doesn't seem as secure as my old one and it's twice the size. It's powerful though!
