Have had this unit for a month after the Midea U recall forced a search for a replacement. It is a really good unit and meets my needs in a very hot humid climate for two upstairs rooms with many electronics in the home office/den. It is quite quiet on low and medium fan levels, and somewhat noisy on higher fan speed but have only utilized anything but low after getting the hang of its capabilities. Quick cooling and efficient dehumidification. App interface is good. Recommend this unit and think it will do a great job for you. Installation pretty straight forward and including removal of the old unit this replaced the total time to 'job done' was 1/2 hour about 15 minutes each step. This unit is replacing the same one that we purchased four years ago. It went out at the worst possible time (record breaking heatwave). When it arrived last night, we noticed that the top was bent and that affected the side as well. After installing it, it worked perfectly. I wanted the manufacturer to be aware of this but do not want to return it. We will need to somehow seal the area of the dent(s) as it will leak air into the bedroom. Biggest AC I could get to fit my window. Has great features although app is a little bit weird to get use to. Cools room off fast, app works great so I can set a schedule for the AC. Able to use Alexa to turn the AC to low, change the thermostat on AC and turn on and off the AC. Great feature. With the app you can also turn the AC on or off when not at home, to cool off the room before you get there or if you happen to leave the unit on by accident if outside of the schedule you choose. I may turn the AC back on after the schedule time to turn off and may forget to turn it off. I have had LG's in the past and they have all been great, my last LG even worked after I accidentally dropped the unit while going down the stairs. I missed the last stair and dropped it. Controls on AC no longer worked or you really had to press hard but with remote worked just fine. Goes to show how well it is made. ... show more

I put this in my little 12 x 20 backyard shop with insulation. When it was 100*+ outside this thing got a work out but it kept my shop at barely 90*. I am not very happy with this unit after trying 5 other different units. All in all, this puppy works...barely, but in all honesty, it wouldnt cool down a closet. The fan blowing on HIGH wouldnt blow out a candle and on low, you cant even feel it coming out the vents. I do not recommend this air conditioner as IMO...it is expensive junk. I am pulling this thing out of my shop and getting a different brand and this one it heading for the trash dump. ... show more

Does the trick. Though I should have got the 12000 btu unit. Oh well. I seen a few reviews that trash the AC with no real good reason. 450 sq coverage is incredible for one 10x10 room. I have the 10,000 btu unit and it does just fine for that and helps keep the apartment cool on the hottest days. I have other wall units. LG is hands down the best. ... show more
