This mini split has been a great addition to our home. We installed it to take some of the load off our whole-house HVAC system, and it’s already helping balance comfort while saving on the electric bill. The unit itself runs smoothly and has been working exactly as expected. One important note: the disclaimer that this is not a DIY mini split is very true. I normally handle projects myself, but there are aspects of this install I would have really struggled with. Thankfully, I have family in the HVAC business who came out and did a professional installation, which made all the difference. The install turned out very nice, and the machine is running great so far. I will update this review if anything changes! ... show more

This was far beyond my expectations easy to install and I had to keep checking at first to see if it was running it is almost silent you have to try real hard to listen we keep it at 75 and live in Phoenix record temps over 110 and we have to cover up at night we got single and it easily covers living room and kitchen over 1500 sq ft got our first electric bill and it was 100 $ less and our home is 80 yrs old we are now fixing the holes once that’s done I’m sure it will be less very happy way better than window units and cheaper than running central air which by the way we do not have have to wait till winter for heater 9/24 update the mini split is still over and beyond my expectations still have to sleep under blankets if set anything below 76 and the heater works great as well no need to run it all day or all night just enough to take the chill off old house have only had to do any maintenance and that was just to clean the filters we are now going through solar so next update will be how they work off grid until then this is not a paid review ... show more

Wow! I used this all summer to cool down and industrial garage. I love this unit. Im using the heat settings to help warm the space. Even my installer was pleased he recommended the CH he has installed 3 this year by this brand.

Beware! Two Years and 3 months and the evaporator coil failed. Two trips from my local AC guys and $600 later the leak was found. Contacted the manufacture and was told that since my Licensed AC contractor that installed the unit did not register the unit the warranty was void and no coverage for the failed part would be authorized. Enfría muy bien y buena relación calidad-precio Compré este mini split de Cooper & Hunter de 24,000 BTU y ha funcionado muy bien hasta ahora. Enfría rápido espacios grandes y también el modo calefacción es útil cuando baja la temperatura. La unidad es relativamente silenciosa y el control remoto es fácil de usar. La instalación fue sencilla para un técnico y trae los accesorios básicos. En cuanto al consumo eléctrico, es razonable para el tamaño (2 toneladas). Lo recomiendo especialmente para salas grandes o áreas abiertas. Como punto a considerar, requiere conexión de 230V y la instalación puede tener costo adicional. The first one I ordered arrived sitting upside down in the delivery van. I didn’t even open the box. I sent it back and requested a different one. I confirmed with the seller that these products can never be upside down. They will be destroyed. After receiving the replacement I installed it and I am very happy with the performance and the noise level. I am happy with the integrity of the seller who advised me to send it back immediately. Also I am happy with Amazon as they make no qualms with returning the first one. I am a retired HVAC contractor so installing it was very easy. I was disappointed that there was no Wi-Fi connectivity. And a little disappointed to find that I could’ve purchased a 21 seer instead of a 17 seer for about $100 more. But I blame no one but myself for that. I bought it for cooling but I am now using it for heating as it is a heat pump. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of heat it produces. If you do it yourself you will need refrigeration gauges and a vacuum pump and a special adapter to accommodate the unusual fitting that you will find on split systems for your gauges to connect. The electric is 220 requiring a Fusible disconnect box with time delay fuses 25 amp. I used liquitight conduit and #10 wire. Over all I am satisfied and comfortable. ... show more

    • Very Nice Very Quiet Unit.

Before I purchased I sent a pic. to my A/C guy and asked what he thought about the unit for my 30x40 shop. He said they are good and nhe's just inst. one for a Lady he knows and he'd inst. for $500. Everything went fine and it's quiet and works well so far it was inst on 8-7-23 so it's only been 1. day so far. So for the unit and inst. and 100' of 12-2 romex which i purchased here for $30 less than Home Depot and a double 20 breaker i'm all in for $1800. I should have done this years ago. I was running 2. 3' pedestal fans all summer trying to keep my shop almost bearable and at 90 degs. I quit and went to the house wich some days was pretty early. Those 2 fans use as much power as this a/c unit does and I doubt i'll see much difference in my power bill which is pretty low for what we run. My kids took a pic of our bill and sent it to their friends in Calif. because they pay 3X more we have a house with 2. a/c units like this one with 4 heads and a water well and a charge pump and my machine shop with tons of LED lights and a compressor with 2. mills and 2. lathes and a drill press etc. and a small fridge and 2. freezers in the garage for meat etc and it runs $170 or less per month avg. everything we have is newer energy efficient stuff and no A/C till the afternoons. These little mini splits are a life saver. We have Daiken units for the house, we have 2. dual zone units (4) heads we only turn them n in rooms we want to cool. In the winter we heat the home and shop with wood. My A/C guy said if I had run Dakin in the shop it would have cost 2X as much as this one did. ... show more
