Want your holiday/special occasion property to stand out from your neighbors at Christmas (or other times in the year)? Try these gorgeous babies out, hanging from your house, work building or landscape trees! I have stopped using ALL my OTHER Christmas lights after I purchased these amazing light sets. Depending on which light mode you choose, these pleasingly bright and richly colorful light sets look like melting icicles in the starlight, or meteors streaking through the sky and down your tree. Imagine getting all that visual pleasure WITH the LOW energy bill of LED lights! I expect that you will be happy WHENEVER you buy these beautiful lights, but you will get a special thrill if you buy them when they are on special sale. I managed to get the discounted price on the FIRST light set, and then made a SEPARATE PURCHASE of EACH DIFFERENT COLOR light set in order to receive that same discount on the FIRST PURCHASE of EACH COLOR light set. I then chose to use each different colored light sets in separate locations (e.g. front yard tree left side and right side and rear side, left eave of house, right eave of house, side tree, etc). All you need is a nearby electrical outlet or extension cord to find out how much fun these pretty lights can be, though I would recommend a plastic bag to surround the plug IF it is in a location where it can get wet (as you would with ANY plugged in device). If you route each end of light set wire and extension cord plug THROUGH the plastic bag and plug them together, you can use tightly wrapped electrical tape on each side to waterproof your plastic bag and keep water away from the electricity. IF you mess this step up and water gets in, expect your lights to go dark until you reset the GFCI or circuit breaker switch, but make sure you investigate and fix the problem! Loved these! Easy to hang and the perfect brightness. They move a bit in the wind and look soo pretty. I left mine up all winter for brightness and warmth on the front porch and they are still going strong. Will take down end of February.

I have had these for over an entire season, I purposely waited to write my review. I use them on my yard fence for light and a little whimsy. This was my first go round with LED lights. They are bright but do not provide usable light, they are very very long. They also look like odd writing when against a surface. I got them because of the clear cord effect and to lower my electric bill. They are run on a separate outdoor timer, so I can't say they are over used. The bulbs do eventually go out after time. They get a brown residue inside and start to fade. I don't know if this is due to poor design but I've had regular icicle lights on my fence that lasted years and never did this. I cannot say what they'd look like on the house as Christmas lights, just the fence. I'm trying to get another season out of them but I highly doubt it. ... show more

So far so good. They look beautiful. My only issue was there was no info stating that the power supply is in the middle of the 99 ft, not at the end. I separated the two sides not paying attention that there’s only one connector on each side. So, I bought a second set so I could split it and ended up wrapping the whole house. I could have taken the first set down but they are so pretty, glad I bought a second set. Go to the center point of where you want the lights at and start there and work your way to the left and then to the right . It was awkward putting them up since they aren’t end to end lights but right now, worth the hassle . ... show more

This string of lights only has a cord - there's no remote or power adapter. We purchased this same set about 4 years ago and it had both. The new version is not as good. Once plugged in, we decided to have a "steady" pattern rather than blinking or fading. The manual that comes with the product is useless. After several days of trying we were finally able to figure out how to get the light pattern we wanted and what time to plug it in. Afterwards, they seem to be working OK. ... show more
