I love the style of the black latch! I had a bronze standard knob but wanted to upgrade. I selected the non-locking version of the latch as we have an electronic fingerprint deadbolt. (Seen in the pictures) The entire family uses it as our primary entry device. If the lower knob-latch is locked, it defeats the automated lock and can stop us from entering with our personal code or fingerprints. Product appears well built and sturdy. Con: I wish the strike plate was removable. All the existing passage doors in my home do not have strike plates. They were installed with the latch hole ring. I need to mortise all the doors edges strike plates in which In was unaware pre purchase

I love them . There are no locks. The only problem is if you live in an older mobile home (mines from 1972) these are not really meant for those doors-however , my bf knew how much I loved them and with a lil work he got them on for me! 💜
