Better quality than the original kwickset door nobs that came with the house. However, although the new door handles worked well installing, the stricker plates needed some alterations to the door jambs. They are deeper and heavier than the original hardware so a wood chisel was needed to widen the space for the plate.

I love the look of these handles. I love how they feel and how they operate. However, there are a few things that I did not know to look for in door handles. The shape of the strike plate in the jamb and the door did not match. My installer had to chisel out every single door to get these to fit. After that, very easy installation. Second issue, no keys are included. Description says there are keys, but there are not. One door got accidentally locked and I could not locate keys anywhere. I asked the installer, the builder, everyone. They assured me no keys. After coming back to the original order, I found hidden away in one section of product details a way to open the doors without keys (push and turn the key slot). Problem solved, but if I had known up front, I may have opted for a different handle. In the end, no keys is not an issue for me. It could be for a larger household or a different situation for usage.

I bought a bunch of passage and privacy door handles. The passage handles are OK not great, but the privacy door handles are sub-par, they are wobbly and when trying to turn the lock it gets stuck almost always and you need to try again only then it will lock. It is super annoying to do it more than once to lock and it is worse when you have guests over because they are inside your restroom trying to lock and it won't, they do not know to try again and we have to tell them, sorry the lock has some issues, try to unlock and lock again. I am very disappointed with these privacy lock handles and do not recommend them at all. I have this same issue on multiple handles, not just one. So it is not like one was a lemon, it is just poor quality control and sub-standard product. I need to buy good quality ones and replace them, I am surprised with all the positive reviews I think they are not for the privacy handles but others.
