  • Well designed and built wire strippers by Knipex do a very fine job at stripping
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
Knipex wire strippers are made with very high quality. These are very sharp and do remove insulation quite easily. They feel very rugged and well-built in the hand. I'm not a professional electrical just a weekend DIY warrior, maybe installing some light switches and other simple stuff. I know the pros use these, and they last a long time. For me, they will probably last a lifetime. I have not tried the screw cutting, but all the reviews I read say it works, and no need to thread the screws in like other strippers. These are so sharp and precise that they will cut your electrical screws clean! I've watched many YouTube videos demonstrating this. Looking forward to needing a screw cut down now ... show more

  • Knipex did it again
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
I am an aircraft mechanic and third world house electrician. These are by far the nicest strippers and cable cutters I have ever used. The unique ridged design of the strippers makes it very easy to hit the right size without having to read the gauge size every time. The cutter section is very sharp and strong. I wouldn’t try to cut a nail or piano wire, but for electrical wires and cables it works very well. Highly recommend for anyone who is doing more than occasional electrical work. Well worth the knipex price. ... show more

  • Slices through screws like butter
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
These are excellent combination pliers for what I do, test fixture assembly. I can strip wire with these, grip things like connectors and screws, and the screw cutters actually work very well. I was using the screw cutters on some crimpers, which have been fine for soft metal such as brass or aluminum and maybe low hardness steel, but it just bent a medium hardness steel screw. These sliced right through it like nothing and I didn't need to thread anything. This is very useful for me, because sometimes I need to make mechanical alterations to the loadboard that require me to trim screws, or I'm just not given the right screws in the first place. ... show more

  • Professional Strippers take notice!
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
The media could not be loaded. Quality. Reliability. Affordability. Longevity. Make whatever acronym you want from the letters QRA and L but the result is always relevant to the Knipex Brand! These Professional Strippers will not disappoint. There is no play or slop in the movement of the two sides. Smooth and effortless is the best way I can describe the functionality of this product. Some however have remarked on a clunky aspect in the movement while using them. It's really nothing that a little 3-in-1 oil cannot remedy. Honestly any steel tool that moves will typically benefit from such preventative maintenance. The comfort grip is exactly that. It might have been a bonus to have the wire size etched in both sides but I'm nitpicking. The locking mechanism upon opening was slightly stiff but again, oil your steel tools! I'm incredibly happy to have found the Knipex Brand. Although no one company makes the best of every tool, some brands come quite close. /wink ... show more

  • Perfect Strippers
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
I bought these for my boyfriend (electrician) and he loves them. He’s talked to me about them for about 45 minutes and had me try them out and everything. This was his favorite bday gift. Came in perfect condition.

  • Comfortable and well made
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
After using these for a full day I found my likes and dislikes. All in all these strip better than my kleins, the knurled head is great for twisting wires. I also like that you don't have to thread your screws to cut, just slide them in. My biggest dislikes were the locking mechanism, it's very small. And the cutters have a larger wider blade closer to the opening, so you have to open them much wider to get your wires in to cut them. Other than that I love them, Not sure if I prefer them over the kleins yet or not. ... show more

  • great overall but not for live wire work. long metal jaw still grounds out with protected grips.
Style: Comfort Grip Pattern Name: Stripper
best electrical pliers I ever used. Just make sure you understand even though your hands are protected with the grps if you work with live wires 1/2 of those plier are bare metal. That mean if any part touches a grounded metal box trying to twist wires. In my case aluminum to copper pigtails with alumicoms they will do damage. Best case make sure you can shut off power, worst case be aware of how long the metal part really is as I found out late one night working live and just touched the edge of a decorative switch in a double I just had grounded. This was my last twist and I ark welded the small metal edge around the plastic on that switch even with electrical tape protecting the connections. The handles are great but if they are making live wire pliers perhaps try not to make them do too many jobs. make just linemen twisting live wire only as seperate tool. ... show more
