  • Finally, the one that does it all
Style: Air Fry & Temperature Probe Color: Black Matte
We loved our old basket air fryer but increasingly felt the need to upgrade it to something that can also handle other tasks such as toasting. We find we use our air fryer/oven a lot but it's just not worth it to spend 30 minutes on our inefficient gas oven just to try and toast bread (let's not even get into how worthless our gas range oven's broil function is). We thought about getting a giant sized air fryer but dreaded the counter space footprint for something that you still can't toast at the same time as air frying chicken/veggies. That put is in the market of a toaster oven.. and hey, why not an oven that could functionally take over the role of our very bad range oven? At the same time, we air fry a LOT and didn't want to sacrifice our ability to air fry things well. Spent weeks researching and every model from Ninja to Breville seemed to have big downsides. Ninja's reliability, lack of support for standard 9x13 pans, and questionable even baking performance put me off their offerings - they seemed much more "air fryer" first, everything else second. Breville was expensive and didn't seem to do air frying well at all due to it's more traditional toaster oven style fan design. More "toaster oven" first, everything else second. This product does everything we wanted absolutely perfect. Thanks to the dual fans in the back, it actually air frys almost as good as our basket air fryer with no tossing/flipping required. As a bonus, unlike every other "air fryer oven" we looked at, the air fry mode is QUIET. Which made me think it wasn't working until the chicken + potatoes came out completely evenly cooked and crispy with only 2-3+ extra minutes of cook time vs our basket style fryer. It bakes perfect cakes, see the pictures. The probe mode is awesome and handled a pork roast flawlessly. Everything preheats and cooks fast. Oh yeah, and it toasts perfectly fine. Capacity is great. Fits our casserole dishes we already own just fine, and you can fit a big roast in it. One thing to keep in mind, it's less easy to fit multiple trays of items. You CAN do it by being clever with the fry basket it comes with to add a second tray of food in, or just cooking the 2nd row of stuff in the basket, but performance is hurt. Not a big deal if the stuff you are cooking isn't that delicate. A traditional basket fryer is still better in terms of ease of use, clean up and cook time. Nothing can substitute how easy it is to just drop a basket of stuff on a plate and call it a day. It takes longer to get food out of this oven's air fryer basket and takes longer to clean. But it's not significantly worse at anything of these aspects vs a basket air fryer, which was important to us. My only real criticism is it doesn't have all the nice quality of life features the breville has. No timer paused on door open, no magnetic tray, etc. It's a rather "what you see is what you get" appliance. But that works pretty good for us and we appreciate that it looks sharp, while averaging a lot cheaper than the Breville does. So if you're looking for an all in one device - this one does it. It toasts, it bakes, it roasts, and it actually air fry's without skipping a beat. So, so much more efficient than our regular oven at doing everything and with much less energy spent. ... show more

  • GREAT OVEN, GREAT AIR FYER, GREAT CONVECT
Style: Air Fry & Temperature Probe Color: Black Matte
EXCELLENT OVEN. I researched ovens for days before i bot this one. I wanted an over that had a great air fryer, separate convect feature and would work like a regular over. This oven hit every mark. It big inside but doesn't take a huge amount of space; its easy to clean, i clean it every time i use it. It makes GREAT french fries, great pizza, great coffee cakes and other types of cakes great. I literally use it every day and have ZERO complaints. I know some people say the ringers are too quiet, i don'[t use them; i just use my big ovens time which i can hear all over the house. I would buy this oven again for sure and highly recommend it. I have to find anything it doesn't make better than my old oven. Took me about a week of baking different things to adjust/get used to how it works relative to selections but thru all the trial and error things still came out really good. As far as cost - it was well worth the money. Very very easy to operate -very user friendly. ... show more

  • Controls would be better placed on top or side.
Style: Air Fry & Temperature Probe Color: Black Matte
I want to report on the Kitchen Aid KCO224 oven. Years ago, I taught classes teaching seniors how to cook with a microwave saving time and energy and ways to cook healthier and cleaner. Now I am a senior. I am 84 and recommend it for Seniors, because of the ease of use, and the ability to cook healthier. Not having to bend over or reach up makes it easy to put in items and take them out without getting burned. I am very pleased with this oven. I use it 98 % of the time, ignoring my good stove and oven. I have it on a stainless-steel rolling cart, so I can move it if I want. The height is perfect, so I do not have to bend down. The one thing I DO NOT LIKE is where the controls are located. They are on the bottom and with bifocals its harder to read. I use a silicon oven liner and love it for air frying because cleanup is fast and cleaner. I love the settings. When I set them, they stay set till I change them saving time when cooking and eliminating guess work or having to look up cooking times and temperature. Another big thing, it is very easy to clean because it’s at a height where I can reach in and keep it very clean. Its big but a perfect size. Handles anything, I want to cook for 2 to 6 people. I use the air fryer for a variety of foods. We like a thin crispy pizza crust and its possible with this air fryer. I find turning the pizza ½ way through produces a perfect pizza. I use it to hold pancakes on warm. Love asparagus and other vegetables. French fries, chicken wings. I have created recipes just for this stove. I do toast fingers with the air fryer, and they are great for soup. Oven fried chicken is also a winner made in the air fryer. Hamburgers broil perfectly. The thermometer produces a great baked chicken and roast. Biscuit and cookies are great. Sometimes I turn the pan ½ way through baking, so they cook evenly I bake blueberry stuffed French toast using old hamburger buns. Roasted vegetables are a hit with my husband as are Blueberry scones. I give this stove 5 stars but wish the controls were on the side or top. One problem- on the side of the stove the finish is changing. Not coming off but becoming glossy black. This stove is used in one way or another for every meal of the day.! ... show more

  • Good Oven
Style: Air Fry & Temperature Probe Color: Black Matte
Overall I really like the Oven. It seems to cook nicely and thoroughly. A problem I have run into is the meat probe which I just used for first time today. I set a pork tenderloin to cook to an internal 150 and the unit shut off when it reached the temp according to the probe. When I looked at the pork you could clearly see it was not done so I used a different probe to check and low and behold it was far below the 150 I set. Update: I cooked another pork tenderloin today 12/30 and again used the meat probe function. This time I made sure the probe was inserted all the way into the meat and the tip in the center also triple checking the probe was properly inserted into the side bracket. This time it cooked the meat to the proper temp and shut off and again I double checked with a different probe. The tenderloin was cooked perfectly. ... show more
