I highly recommend this Kitchen Mama can opener. We bought ours over a year ago. My husband and I really love it. To illustrate how much we love it, the canned tuna fish we buy has a pull top to open it easily but my husband opens it with the Kitchen Mama to avoid having the sharp edges on the can's cover. I feel compelled to write this review now to praise the wonderful customer service this company has. They truly impressed me. Our can opener stopped working. I decided to write to the company despite the fact that our one-year warranty had expired. They responded immediately. They worked with me, sending a few troubleshooting ideas with pictures. We now have a fully functional can opener. The company responded to my emails immediately, whether I wrote during the day or late at night. I can't say it enough, If you are looking for a great can opener with a company that stands behind its products, look no further, this is the one.

This is really a hand saver for me. I have arthritis in both thumbs and th crank ones just are too hard to use now. The electric ones are fine, but useless if you have a power outage. This uses 4 AA batteries and works great. It’s easy to use. A great kitchen tool.

The media could not be loaded. This is hands down the worst can opener I have ever owned. It goes around the can and does something not quite sure what it’s doing it it’s not opening a can! Have tried and tried this worthless gadget in so many ways thinking maybe if I try it this way or that way it may just this time open a can but same thing it never opens a can. But if you let it go around the can for about 20 min or so it loosens the top just enough to squeeze a butter knife in and pry part of it open. Next time I open a can I will try and remember to take a video of just how Horrible this product is!

The best I have ever had. Been using automatic openers for years due to dexterity issues. Had many others, they either just stop or become sluggish. This one is great, although a little pricey, it is well worth it!! I have always learned you get what you pay for, meaning don’t make the mistake of trying to save a few dollars, this one will save money in the long run! Do your research! Read the other reviews before purchasing!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It's the Absolutely WORST can opener there is on the market today. There is No button or lever or anything to get it off the can once it starts, or rather Trys to start. Once it's on it's way, there is no way to get it off the can. I had to throw the entire can and opener away, as there was no way to get it off the can. I HATE this Da*&^%#$)m thing!!!!!

UPDATE: Kitchen Mama responded with excellent customer service and made everything whole again!!!!! FIRST REVIEW: The unit stopped working after about 20 cans (8 weeks). It started requiring 2 trips around the cans, then 3 trips, then 4 trips, etc. It finally just stopped opening cans all together. I changed the batteries in hopes that would work, but no luck there either.
