I did still have to struggle a bit to remove the lid once it was cut on a few lids. I tried to use the lip on the back to lift the lid but it did not work. I ended up using a spoon or other utensil.

I was looking for a can opener that my husband would find easy to use. This little jewel did the trick! When it comes in, you install the batteries and it is ready. Sit the cutter on top of the can over the edge and press the button. No need to hold onto it or the can. It effortlessly glides around the can itself and stops automatically when it is complete! I love that it is small and easy to handle. It would make a great can opener for people who like to camp or in an RV. And it comes in cute colors.

This is hands down the worst can opener I have ever owned. It goes around the can and does something not quite sure what it’s doing it it’s not opening a can! Have tried and tried this worthless gadget in so many ways thinking maybe if I try it this way or that way it may just this time open a can but same thing it never opens a can. But if you let it go around the can for about 20 min or so it loosens the top just enough to squeeze a butter knife in and pry part of it open. Next time I open a can I will try and remember to take a video of just how Horrible this product is!

What a smart little gadget ! The most recent model stops at the end of the task, which is quite nice. For my wife, with her little hands it was a great addition to the kitchen paraphernalia, Nevertheles the item has some negative aspects. The device should have some sort of warning for low batteries. My first one got stuck with drained batteries and it was impossible to get it loose even after adding fresh new batteries; the result was serious damage. The device is quite brittle, and should be handled with maximal tenderness; never remove forcefully if it does not release the can top.

I’ve tried several electric can openers and found them useless, and returned them. This one works every time, is great fun, and comes in a choice of bright and cheery colors. It is battery operated, You place it on the lid, press the button, and watch it take a lap around the can When finished, you lift the lid and voila! Top comes right off, leaving no sharp edges. Even works on pull-tab lids, which I find difficult to open by hand. Highly recommended!

I like the idea of a hands free can opener. I have arthritis in my hands and thought this would be a welcome gadget in my kitchen. I like that it stops on its own when it's through. However, it doesn't cut every time and when it does cut, the magnet doesn't always pick up the lid. The fact that it is a smooth cut, when it cuts, means if I have to remove the lid I don't get cut because the edges are smooth. The video is a little deceiving, but all in all, not bad.
