Bought this Kitchen Mama Auto 2.0 Electric Can Opener a year ago. Have been using it fairly often. Great for someone who had difficulty with a manual can opener. It has opened a lot of cans in a number of different shapes. Bought another one as a Christmas gift for a relative. After almost exactly one year, the opener developed a problem where the cutting mechanism remained closed after a use. This made it unusable. After a week or so, I decided to contact the company service website. I explained the problem and acknowledged that it was just past the 365 day warranty. !0 days over when I emailed them. I sent pictures showing the issue and asked if they would still cover it even though it was past the 365 day limit. Their service department quickly responded and are sending me a new opener. Outstanding. I was very happy with the opener and I am extremely satisfied with their warranty. Nothing but the best to say about the product and the company. Compact, heavy duty can opener that works! This is a re-engineered version of their original. Specifically, the cutting blade is redesigned and of more durable metal. The 2.0 cuts consistently on ALL metal cans, regardless of the thickness of the metal and construction of the can. Best ever!

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The Kitchen Mama Auto 2.0 Electric Can Opener has its pros and cons, making it a mixed experience in my kitchen. While it does have some useful features, there are a few aspects that leave room for improvement. On the positive side, the can opener's design is aesthetically pleasing and adds a touch of modernity to my kitchen countertop. The sleek appearance is a definite plus, and it complements my other kitchen appliances nicely. However, I found the noise level to be quite bothersome. When in operation, the can opener produces a loud and somewhat grating sound, which can be disruptive in a quiet kitchen environment. A quieter operation would have been much appreciated. Another drawback is the can opener's speed. It takes a whopping 45 seconds to open a single can, which can be quite time-consuming when dealing with multiple cans during meal preparation. A faster mechanism would undoubtedly improve its overall efficiency. Furthermore, the size of the can opener is larger than expected, occupying a significant amount of space on my countertop. For smaller kitchen spaces, this might be a concern as it can limit the available workspace. One of the most frustrating issues I encountered was with the battery cover, which has a tendency to fall off easily. This not only results in the inconvenience of constantly having to reattach it but also raises concerns about the longevity and durability of the product. Despite these drawbacks, I must acknowledge that the Kitchen Mama Auto 2.0 Electric Can Opener does succeed in its primary function – it does open cans eventually. Update: customer service was very responsive and quickly replaced my broken can opener. The new one is working well and will hopefully last a while. ********************* This can opener was great for a short time. Easy to use, and very helpful to me with a wrist injury. I use it infrequently (less than once a week), and it stopped working in under 3 months. The motor still runs, it still latches onto the rim of the can, but it will not rotate around the can, so it doesn’t open anything. I have contacted customer support and will update this review if I hear back from them. ... show more

This little opener is the most fun to watch working! You know it's working correctly when the back of it lifts up higher than the front. It just scoots around any can with no problem and then is easily removed from the can with the lid attached. The lid is sometimes a little hard to remove but it will come off with some jiggling. It's lightweight, easy to keep clean by just wiping off with damp cloth. Uses batteries which last a long time before needed to change.
