I need an automatic opener due to a problem with my right wrist. I open three cans of green beans every four days for our dogs. Two cans will be removed with no problem and a third can will be a problem. It can happen on any one of the cans. Is it a problem with the can or the opener?

This is a life saver for seniors with painful hands. I can no longer turn those crank type can openers and the big chunking electric can openers take up too much space on the counter. My daughter gave me one of these and I used it until it died then bought a new one. Just need to keep a supply of batteries around, but they last a long time. ... show more

Ordered this can opener years ago and we love it. Ordered a 2nd one and it runs but as soon as I place it on the can, it doesn't work. Compared to the older one it is very "bottom" heavy and I think it lacks the power to maneuver itself. Unfortunately I missed my return window. These are greatest little can opener, I’d never had a battery operated or a side cutting one before. The 1st one got the round rolling guide bent when my husband jerked it off a can it got stuck on and I had to order a new one.
