Just plugged in, ran through the cleaning cycle first as recommended. Pushed the make ice button, and within 10 to 15 minutes it started dispensing ice. Within an hour, there was enough ice to fill a couple of cups. Really like the small chewable cubes! Love it so far! A couple of things to keep in mind. This is NOT an ice maker like you would find at a hotel. It makes ice pretty fast, but don't expect it to make enough fast enough for a party or anything like that. Also cleaning is a lot more intensive than I remember reading. It recommends cleaning several times a week, depending on your usage, including with vinegar for hard water. I read complaints about it being loud, you hear the cooling fan running, but not any louder than a fridge or any other appliance. Definitely would recommend!

It’s very noisy. Didn’t expect that. The fan on the side is louder than my refrigerator. The ice does not last in a drink…melts very quickly, watering down whatever you put it in. Still better than finding empty ice cube trays in the freezer.

For the price it makes great ice I paid a lot more for an Opal Ge and have to admit the ice quality and taste is extremely comparable. It is not real heavy and easier to move around. I like the way you drain it but that’s because I have a sink very close by and if I did not I might not feel that way. It is quick to produce ice, very happy about that. I am using distilled water and the ice taste is very good. I would recommend this highly to anyone looking for a pellet ice machine
