  • Perfect Nugget Ice at Home
Color: Silver
This nugget ice maker exceeded my expectations. It starts making ice quickly, and the ice has the perfect soft, chewable texture that’s great for water, iced coffee, and other drinks. It keeps up well with daily use, and the ice bin holds a good amount. The machine is easy to set up, simple to operate, and cleaning is straightforward. It also looks nice on the countertop without taking up too much space. If you’re a fan of nugget ice and don’t want to keep buying bags from the store, this is definitely worth it. Great quality for the price and works exactly as advertised. ... show more

  • Great product
Color: Silver
Makes perfect little pieces of ice. I dont think it's too loud by any means. Sometimes it gets a little louder if the ice basket isnt seated all the way so you just have to jiggle it in the right spot. Ive been using filtered water and haven't had any issues and it gets used A LOT

  • Not Even Close to What’s Advertised - Barely Makes Ice
Color: Silver
I was genuinely excited to get a nugget ice maker, especially after reading so many positive reviews. I followed all the instructions exactly, including waiting two hours before turning it on and running the cleaning cycle. At first, I expected it to take a little time to get going, but even after giving it a fair chance, the performance just isn’t there. It claims to make ice in about 7 minutes, but that’s extremely misleading. It only produces a few small pieces at a time. It took around 30 minutes just to fill a very small cup, which is nowhere near what most people would expect. Even after running it for over two hours, I still didn’t have enough ice for a couple of drinks. The biggest issue is how it handles water. As the machine runs, water collects in the ice basket instead of draining properly. Because of that, the ice sits in water, so the bottom layers melt almost immediately. You end up with wet, slushy ice instead of usable nugget ice. On top of that, I’ve had to keep my house at around 65°F just to prevent the ice from melting. If it gets any warmer and I’m not home to turn the air on, I come back to a bin full of melted, slushy water. I also constantly have to walk over and move the ice around because it will say the ice bin is full when it’s not even halfway full. It stops producing ice way too early, which makes it even more inefficient. Realistically, there is no way this machine is meeting its claim of producing 35 pounds of ice per day unless your house is kept very cold and you’re constantly checking and adjusting it. It requires way more attention than it should. I even stopped and restarted it, thinking maybe something was wrong with my unit, but after watching it closely, this seems to be how it’s designed to work. Another thing to note is the noise. It’s actually pretty loud for its size. You can clearly hear the fan running the entire time, and it’s not something you can ignore in the background. You’ll also hear the ice dropping, which isn’t a big deal, but combined with the fan, it’s definitely noticeable. As for the ice itself, the taste is fine. I used filtered water and didn’t notice anything off there. Pros: Nugget-style ice is nice in theory Ice tastes normal when using filtered water Easy to use once started Cons: Much slower than advertised Produces very small amounts at a time Ice melts quickly due to water buildup Requires very cold room temperature to function properly Constantly needs to be monitored and adjusted Incorrect “ice full” sensor Poor drainage design Louder than expected for the size Not practical for everyday use This might work if you only need a very small amount of ice occasionally and don’t mind constantly checking on it. If you’re expecting something reliable that can keep up with normal use, I would skip this. It’s much more of a headache than it’s worth, and I’ll be returning mine. ... show more

  • Great for that tropical mixer!!
Color: Silver
This thing rocks!! Literally. They’re small rocks, but they are rocks. I’ve enjoyed this piece of machinery for two days now. I like a nice rum punch, and this machine produces small manageable chunks of ice. My drinks at home are like sooo much more enjoyable. Using the standard store-bought water bottle as a measuring tool I start out with two bottles and just myself I can barely keep up with this thing if I keep adding a bottle at a time. With that said, the machine really does keep up and I read a review that said they had mushy ice. It doesn’t work that way the ice melts back into the reservoir and cycles back through the system. It’s awesome. There’s no flaw to it that I see. Now if you’re out on a boat or beach balcony and you have the machine sitting in the sun yeah you’re not gonna get ice. Common sense!! five stars for this machine worth every bit of $150. The first pic shows that I need to add water. I just press the button and put the machine in standby mode until some ice melts. Then I press the button again and it starts making ice again. Now that’s just by myself. If I was having multiple guests, I would have to keep adding water to the machine and just take the ice right straight from the machine, but if I have extra ice, I can put it in my freezer ice bin. ... show more

  • Fast Ice but Needs Monitoring — Full Basket + 10-Min Melt Test Video (Complete User Review)
Color: Silver
I tested this ice maker thoroughly in a real-life home setting, including continuous production, full basket capacity, melt testing, and day-to-day usability—and overall, it performs well with a few important quirks to know about. ❄️ Fast Start + Easy Setup There’s essentially no setup required. Just plug it in, add water, and press the button—it starts producing ice right away. No waiting period, no complicated controls. 🧊 Ice Production (Real Use) This machine produces ice quickly and consistently, but there’s one big behavior to be aware of: It does not stop or redirect ice as the basket fills. Ice piles up directly under the dispenser and forms a mound. Eventually, this can block new ice from dropping properly. ⚠️ Important: There are no alerts, sounds, or indicators that this is happening—you have to physically check it. 🧊 “Ice Moat Method” (My Workaround) I found a simple fix that made a huge difference: Instead of keeping the ice flat, I pushed it outward to create a moat shape—lower in the center, higher on the sides. This: •Keeps the drop zone clear •Reduces how often you need to intervene •Allows the machine to continue producing longer without interruption I included photos of this setup because it noticeably improved performance. 🧊 Full Basket Test I ran the machine continuously until the basket completely filled (Started at 9:00 am + finished at 11:50 AM). Results: •Ice remained fully formed and solid, even at the bottom of the basket •No premature melting inside the machine •Consistent cube size and shape throughout •The ice is slightly wet on the outside due to water cycling, which is normal for this style of ice maker ❄️ Melt Test (Real-Time) I wanted to see how long the ice actually lasts, so I ran a timed test: •Room temp: ~73°F (no sunlight) •Small scoop placed in a bowl •Recorded continuously for 10 minutes At the 10-minute mark: •Ice had partially melted •Still retained several solid pieces •This ice won’t last as long as traditional freezer cubes, but it also doesn’t disappear instantly. It’s best suited for quick chilling and immediate use. (Video included for real-time results.) 🧊 Tumbler Test I tested how long the ice lasts in a real-world scenario using an insulated stainless steel tumbler. I filled a cup with ice and water at 8 PM, and by 9:30 the next morning, at least half of the ice was still fully intact. This shows a big difference compared to open-air testing: In a bowl → melts faster In an insulated cup → lasts significantly longer So while this ice isn’t meant for long-term storage like freezer cubes, it holds up very well for drinks when used in a proper insulated container. ❄️Long Basket Time Test The following day, I made a full batch of ice at 8 am, and did not use any it until the evening. By 8:00 pm, there was some ice melting ice at the bottom of the basket, and quite a bit of condensation on the exterior of the machine 🧊 Freezer Storage Test This ice is best used fresh. When transferred to the freezer, it clumped together into a solid block rather than staying as individual pieces (shown in my photo). This is due to the softer, wetter texture of this style of ice. If you’re looking to store ice long-term, this may not behave like traditional freezer ice. 🧊 Texture Test After making the very first batch, my kid immediately grabbed some and tried it: “Mmm… crunchy ice pellets.” That’s honestly the best description. Soft enough to chew, still has a satisfying crunch, but not overly hard like standard ice cubes. 👍 What I Like: ✔️ Very fast ice production ✔️ No setup—plug and go ✔️ Consistent cube size ✔️ Chewable, nugget-style texture ✔️ Full basket stays frozen during use ✔️ Self-cleaning feature ✔️ Simple operation, one button use ⚠️ What Could Be Better: ⚠️ Ice piles up and requires manual adjustment ⚠️ No alert when production is blocked ⚠️ Requires occasional monitoring during long runs ⚠️ Condensation on the exterior ice basket can cause wetness on the machine + surrounding area ⭐ Watch my video + check my photos: I included extensive real-use media to show exactly how this performs: •Full start-to-finish run (over 2 hours, condensed) •Product measurements •Real-time melt test •Tumbler melt test •Additional freezing test •Full basket capacity •Ice texture and behavior •Workaround setup (“ice moat method”) •Machine information ⚠️ Real-Life Use Update (Important) After continued use, one thing that became more noticeable is how much this machine needs to be monitored while running. Because ice piles up and can block production, it requires you to check on it and adjust the ice periodically. If you’re busy or multitasking (like I often am), this can become frustrating. It’s not a “set it and forget it” appliance—you do need to stay somewhat attentive while it’s running. Because of that, while it works well, I personally would likely choose a model with better ice flow or less need for manual intervention if I were buying again. It worked great when I was focused on it… but in real life, it became more inconvenient. ⭐️If you’re considering this machine, I highly recommend checking the video and photos—they show real performance, not just product listing expectations ... show more

  • Works well, wish ice was a little bigger
Color: Silver
Caveat: only had it a day so far. Works well out of the box. Instructions were easy to follow. Did run the clean cycle before using it. It did start making ice within about 15 minutes. The ice tastes fine and easy to chew. Ice maker wasn't that noisy; certainly not in the "distracting" range. The ice depository filled up in about 2 hours. I turned it off when I went to bed around 11:00 p.m last night. got home around 4: 45pm today and there was still a tiny bit of ice left which is pretty impressive for a non-insulated plastic container. I do like the fact that if anything melts it just drains back into the reservoir again ready to be made into ice again (even faster because it's cold water). My only concern so far: The ice cubes are about the size of an average fingernail in diameter. So on the small side. I think some people refer to this as "Sonic-style" ice. The larger surface area to volume ratio means it will melt faster in a drink. We plan to take this back and forth to the beach because no appliances hold up well in the salt air down there, and freestanding ice makers are notorious for having problems, especially if you rent your house out. I anticipate that my drinks are going to get watery very quickly on the porch in the summer heat. We'll see. ... show more

  • Okay-ish Little Machine
Color: Silver
I have had this ice maker for over a month. I gave it three stars because while workable there are several things to consider if you are thinking about buying it. It is a fraction of the cost of a higher priced popular competitor and has a smaller footprint if you have limited counterspace. It makes ice similar to Sonic or Canes, which is a plus for me. One complaint people have is that it’s noisy, but it is an ice maker, so why wouldn’t it be? The water reservoir needs to be refilled periodically if you want continuous ice production, but it stores a decent amount for a 1-2 people. As others mentioned, the chute gets jammed on the regular, so you have to keep an eye on it. Once you clear it out, it only takes a few minutes to reset itself. The machine has an easy self-cleaning feature, and I use bottled water because our tap water is hard. My biggest beef is that it is hardly a powerhouse for a family or a party. The description boasts that this machine can make 35 lbs. of ice in 24 hours. And some reviewers imply that it’s cranking out ice like nobody’s business. This has not been my experience. On a good day it might put out a pound every 1 ½ - 2 hours, which in no way adds up to what’s advertised. If you buy this machine you need to plan on bagging ice up over the weekend to store in your freezer if you want enough ice to last the week, especially if you plan on visitors. In all, it’s an okay-ish machine for the price point and I appreciate not having to buy ice anymore. I’m putting up with its quirks, but I can’t really recommend it. ... show more
