And I maybe should have tried using an ultra soft brush (almost like a newborn hair brush level soft, maybe one firmness up) but I was too scared of bending fins. With 2.5 hours of rinsing afterwards it got my outdoor unit - which had black soot 'caught' fungus from the nearby gardenia bushes - 90% cleaner.

I used this on my indoor window AC (U shaped) and it worked perfectly. My ac unit didn't smell bad (no mildew or anything like that), but it didn't smell clean either, if that makes sense. This has a clean, almost citrus-y scent and foams up as soon as it hits the fins on the coils. I was worried because it doesn't come with a straw to direct the spray but it comes out in a straight stream and is easy to aim. I let it sit for the recommended amount of time and then rinsed with distilled water. If it was full on summer with humidity I wouldn't have even needed that last step because the condensation would have rinsed it off. I was expecting bad times because of the warning label but it wasnt bad at all and I just left the bathroom fan running. Definitely would recommend for window AC units if you can easily reach the inside coils.

Used this for cleaning my two window AC units before it gets hot out...this stuff really works great. Wish I had taken a few photos - but, once I sprayed this onto the coils - it just disintegrated the dirt and dust. I soaked the coils and let sit for about 10 minutes. Then everything wiped clean. I would suggest having a garbage bag or tarp underneath since this does pull all of the dirt downwards. Everything is super clean!!
