I appreciated the many reviews on this lamp, so I feel the same obligation to share my opinion too. Thanks to everyone who submitted one. I read them all. I like the sleek design, I like the light range and output, and I like that the top tilts if desired. It's a cool looking lamp and a great price. Unlike others, I see no issue with the dimmer switch on the lamp pole; it works fine and feels just as sturdy as other lamps I've used. No issues turning it, and I have arthritis. The quality of this lamp and packaging were lacking. While the styrofoam had cut outs for the lamp base and top, protecting them well, the poles were literally stacked on the outside of the styrofoam, up against the side of the box. It seems I was lucky that this lamp arrived undamaged, as it would be pretty easy to bang it up if the box had been dropped. Really strange oversight in terms of packaging. One issue mentioned previously is the base cover, which seems oddly sharp at the bottom, and I agree likely too long, which would risk scratching my hardwood floors. I am not even going to risk testing it out so I have placed the lamp base on top of a cork disk which I usually reserve for potted plants. This would not be noticeable on carpet, but beware if you have wood or even tile floors. The cord from the bottom is probably too long, and there is no way to hide it under the base cover or wrap it to desired length; missed opportunity. Also, this is the first lamp I've seen where the cord exits from the lamp pole instead of the base, which aesthetically I don't like. Lastly, the glass on top of the lamp is a nice design look. I like the sleekness of the frosted edge and how it looks with the light on. However, the glass is somehow marred slightly, which is not noticeable from farther away, but when right under the lamp is obvious and frustrating to a perfectionist like me. I've decided to not look. In summary, for this price range and light output, I've decided I like it "enough," to keep in my bedroom. For our home, I would not put this lamp in our main living room or another place that would be more of a focal point because of the quality issues. ... show more

    • nowhere near the advertised quality
Bought two other brands. Neither had screw-in offset. This one did. Yet they blatantly claim they are perfect? The dial feels 10x cheaper than the touch buttons on other models The cable is some weird proprietary design and will probably not be replaceable if you accidentally damage the proprietary tip. The dial is molded plastic with seams that are sharp and uneven surfaces and a cheap sprayed on chrome that's concave and convex and feels like it'll break off after a few uses as well as being wobbly. I remember old floor lamps, used to feel amazing to turn, not the case here. disappointing at best. Gets EXTREMELY HOT, do NOT TOUCH while running. Unlike they claimed Glass screws in uneven and impractical method. Tilt of the top pops and crackles, not smooth and not a good feeling. Feels like I'm breaking something every time I tilt it. Still going to keep it! No other floor LED lamp has as much brightness unfortunately. It's nowhere near the 300w eq claim but it's definitely higher than everything else. ... show more

    • The LED driver does not last long and hard to contact seller for replacement
The lamp was nice, bright, and works great in the past two years....., but then the LED driver died... The seller says the LED driver is replaceable, so I tried to contact them, but they are asking me to use Amazon message in which my order record does not exist anymore since the warranty has expired.... it is really a hassle to try to get the LED driver replacement from the seller. I wish they can just have an amazon page selling the LED driver, or just give me their email so I can contact them directly. There are several reviews complaining about the lifetime of their LED drivers.. I feel lucky to have one last more than two years, which is ironic for a LED lamp. I order three LED lamps at same time, other two were from different sellers.. Their LED and drivers are still perfect fine... ... show more

    • Way brighter than I was expecting! Solid too! It's perfect!! Very premium feel.
Ok, I was replacing a 300W halogen touchier lamp with this. Thinking a 300W halogen would easily outshine this, imagine my surprise when I found out the reverse was true. This thing is blinding!! And that's great because it has a continuous dimmer, meaning you can get the exact brightness you want! And, like they mention, this is instant-on, so it happily works with any smart plugs (non-dimmable) you may have. (Well, it may work with dimmable. I'm not gonna check as I don't ever have a reason to change it anyway.) The little extra height works out too as it keeps it above even tall people's line of sight so you won't blind yourself walking by it like you can with some of the shorter ones. Another nice surprise... the stem is about 50% thicker than other touchier lamps. It feels completely solid, more like a pipe than a tube if that makes sense. And the base is nice, heavy and weighted. Topping it off, the clear 'ring' at the top is actual glass, not plastic which makes all the difference, remaining scratch free. All in all, this is a premium product. I *almost* decided on saving $20 and going with one of the cheaper ones, but something told me to go with this, and I'm so glad I did! I may order more for other rooms in the house. It's just so great!! ... show more
