The media could not be loaded. If you're looking to get this specifically for pull-up / chin-up assistance and you're starting from zero (ie; cannot do one) I'd recommend starting with the "Tribe Lifting" pull-up assistance band and moving to this later once you need less resistance. I can't speak to their use for anything else, I specifically got this for pull-up/chin-ups. I used the Tribe band and kept dropping the weight until I could do 3 sets of 8-10 reps and then moved to this band so I could keep my feet tucked. Great deal for workout bands. Comes with a guide for basic exercises and a website for more. All 3 bands appear to be of good quality, with good stretch, and good resistance to them. All 3 bands are about the same length, but different thicknesses. I would recommend washing them before use, due to the odor. Overall, I would recommend using these resistance bands for working out. I use this band for standing bench-like presses and standing pull-towards-me presses that is hooked up to a wall anchor designed for these types of bands. This band is 70-225Lbs, 82 inches around and 3.3 inches wide. It feels very durable, strong, and will last. I have a lot of experience with these types of flat, wide, and high weight resistance bands over the past several years, I currently have two 65-150 lbs bands that are identical, that are 2.5 inches wide vs this new one that 3.3 inches wide. I get a very good workout doing many many reps of standing bench like presses and standing pulling towards me along with some curls and tricep curls too, so this will add to my weight totals along with my other bands. I decided to go this route with these type of bands because my weight universal machine broke after 20+ years and I didn't want to fix it or buy a new one, so these thick bands help replace that machine with a much much smaller footprint. ... show more

I'm probably extra weak, but i followed the chart for 160 lb, 0 pullups and ordered the green band and it wasn't enough for me to do even 1 pullup (my daughter, who works out and is the same weight couldn't do one either). So now i just put one leg in the band and the other foot on a chair and I'm fine. It's super awkward to do that tho and I'm disappointed cuz the whole reason i ordered the band was because I had done my pullups with my on a chair and wanted to stop doing that. That said, the band seems it's good quality and for the price, i would definitely order this brand again. So maybe read some more reviews before chosing your band. ... show more
