  • Impressive power, unbeatable price.
Style: Jack Hammer
The media could not be loaded. I'm a concrete contractor and I have used the Bosch, Hilti, and other similar brand name equipment and I'm here to tell you this little beast can hold it's own. I'm fully aware that this unit will probably not outlast those name brands in the long run, however, at this price point it's still more profitable to me to just buy a new one if this one doesn't last more than a year. We are currently using it out at a commercial job where we are demoing a gas station parking lot and re-paving it. It was going to cost me 2x what this unit cost to rent a brand name hammer from a rental place, so I figured what the hell if this tool makes it through the job I'll consider it a win. Right out of the box we put it through about 6 hours of continuous use only stopping for short water breaks. We were using it to chip down footings that are probably 4 ft deep and squaring up the bases to make them look nicer when we install new concrete. The unit handled it like a champ. While the Bosch and Hilti would have probably done it much faster, the trade off is this unit is not as cumbersome and much easier to handle. The flat tip and chisel tip work great and are of equal quality to the name brands. The tool itself never let up and my dad who is also my business partner and has 40+ years in the concrete business was highly impressed when I told him how much this unit cost. Let me tell you it's hard to impress him. For the lighter stuff like 4" sidewalks and access ramps it tore through them with ease. It has enough power for what we would probably ever use it for and as I said if it lasts me a year I call that a win. I did buy the warranty on it as well so we'll see if I ever need to use that. Shipping was fast and the unit was packaged well. The hard plastic rolling case is also a bonus and much easier to haul around than those dolly carts the other units come on. Now, be advised, this unit still pushes around 40lbs which for most people is heavy. So please be safe and careful as you could easily hurt yourself or others if you're a DIYer or homeowner. Use proper technique and wear steel toe or hard toe shoes. So far I'm pleased with my purchase and I do recommend the product. I will update this review if any issues arise. ... show more

  • A Bargain Price for a Decent Quality Tool That Performs Well!
Style: Breaker + 2 Chisel Bit Set
Absolutely a Bargain! I have been using this jack hammer for close to a year on various projects at home--breaking up an asphalt driveway, breaking through underground rock, etc. and have never been disappointed. Will it last forever?--probably not, but it should give me several years of dedicated service. The 45 lb. weight is heavy, but manageable. At 73, I can still handle the jack hammer with no problem, but it might not be the case for everyone. The jack hammer comes in a nice heavy-duty case. I ordered three bits for it, but have mainly used the flat 1-ich edge bit. In the fine print of some other reviews, Shell Rotella T1 SAE 40 Heavy Duty Engine Oil was recommended, which I purchased at our local auto parts store. I have yet had to add any oil though. Just keep an eye on the oil level through the small round window. Like most items, a low review is likely due to someone not reading the instructions or not caring for the jack hammer properly. An example: Putting the bit in is tricky, as one has to pull the metal piece on the side of the hammer barrel out and twist 180 degrees in order for the bit to slide in all the way, then pull the small metal piece out again and reverse to the original position. It takes a bit pf practice to master. Once the bit is in, you are good to go. Just watch the oil level. Is the hammer noisy?--Yes, but it is a jack hammer. Be sure to wear your hearing protection. I am thinking of ordering a second of these jack hammers before the prices go up due to the tariffs. ... show more

  • Powerful Tool for demolition
Style: Breaker + 2 Chisel Bit Set
This is working effectively! Value for money, it was easy to assemble, the size is manageable. I love the way it is designed, it came in a case to protect it. The speed is very good and the power is strong.

  • COULD BE A 5-STAR PRODUCT EXCEPT...
Style: Breaker + 2 Chisel Bit Set
Likes: The price is certainly a big selling point. If you shop around for demolition jack hammer, this is one of the most affordable product. It appears to be a fairly sturdy piece of equipment and would be suitable for most DIY projects. Fairly decent performance as a jack hammer without being too heavy or unwieldy. DISLIKES: Upon opening the box, this item raised some serious Red Flag for me, not because of the actual product that I bought but because of the accessories and technical manual included. Here are my issues: 1. The mask, gloves and eye protection are totally CRAP! (See pictures above. The gloves will probably fall apart within the five five use - Note that the cloth material is so thin and flimsy that light is shining though. The dust mask filter appears to made of a single layer of cloth. It may be good for a single use. The eye protection is already deformed and disintegrating before I even took it our of the plastic. I would definitely not recommend using these to protect your eyes and they are definitely NOT OSHA approved eye protection. 2. The tech manual is also CRAP! See sample page above, which is suppose to detail critical parts and inspection areas but are so confusing even with pictures. If you have used a similar type of equipment, then you might be able to find the inspection areas like where the carbon brushes are located. But this manual will not help you. I was able to find the type of oil that I need to use for this product by reading through some of the comments and answers to questions here BUT I couldn't find it in the manual itself. So why point out these issues that are not directly related to the product? I point them out because it also represents the culture of the manufacturer. Yes, the product itself, seems to be a decently manufactured product that worked well when I tested it, but the question now is how well will it work in the long run. If I was buying a Makita or a Dewalt, then I wouldn't even be asking these questions. But obviously I chose these product because of its much lower price. However, even with a lower price, I still have the expectation that this product will remain serviceable for a long time. So the concern that I have with the manufacturer is why did they even add three accessories of such low quality that it raises the question of their own product quality. Yes, on the initial buy, the addition of the gloves, mask and eye protection may have provided an added selling point. But after seeing the accessories that they delivered, it was very disappointing. For now, I am keeping the jack hammer (while throwing away the gloves, mask and eye protection). I think the product delivers for its price point but I can't help but be skeptical of its durability. Only time (and use) will tell if this buy is actually a good buy. For now, 4 stars. ... show more

The jack hammer works well and is a good value for the price. Beats a rock bar.
