This beautiful pair of sconce lights, which are designed with LED lights, has a modern, clean look. The bulb is in the center of the light, which emits light up and down, lighting the ceiling and the floor. It would be beautiful in a living room, hallway, corner, or conservatory. The nicest part about this pair of lights is that they are easy to install once you have an American-style junction box that supports the way the light is hardwired with 110 10 V service and 15 A with the standard black, white, and green wires to connect. The product comes with available wire locks and nuts, and it’s easily and quickly installed once you install the Secure junction boxes where you wish to have the lights installed. By lighting up the wall, both above, and below the light, the light is useful and creating an indirect lighting effect in the living room, where the light can effectively particularly if you have two of them installed light entire wall, and that indirect light then can reflect into the room you’re trying to illuminate give me a very soft homie type of lighting since it’s 3000 K lighting is not harsh. It’s the normal temperature that most Americans were used to years ago with the incandescent lights they used to use. I got these sconces to add some mood lighting to the bedroom. I had pre-wired junction boxes with cover plates, so it was a fairly easy addition, though they didn’t completely cover the ‘landlord special’ paint lines left by the cover plates. There’s a fairly standard mounting bracket with lots of paths for screws to mate to any junction box at any angle. Attaching the fixture to that mounting bracket was a little tricky. There are 2 recessed screws that are fairly deep inside and will take a screwdriver with a fairly narrow handle to reach. Even then it takes some feeling around and wiggling to get everything to align before sending the screws home. Once the main body is attached to the wall, the shield/bumper sections slides right over top. That will make bulb swaps easy. I don’t fully understand why there’s a clear housing that screws over the bulb. It even has an o-ring as if it needs to be weather proof, but the rest of the fixture doesn’t seem rated for outdoor use. This is also my first time working with G9 bulbs if that has anything to do with it. Since my application is hard wired and I didn’t feel like adding a light switch, I swapped the included bulbs to smart bulbs. Now I can control these sconces by voice or app as well as change color. I was surprised smart bulbs came as small as G9, so worth mentioning. Overall these are nice and subtle lights with good build quality. There are a lot of low quality lights on Amazon, but these are not part of that group. These guys got it right on every part of the design. -The lights were packaged well. The foam in the box kept all the pieces in their respective places. -The metal is thick and the fixture is solidly built. -It uses a bulb (included and dimmable) rather than a fixed LED so you can adjust brightness and color temp as you desire. -It is designed to fit on a standard American round junction box and does so solidly and easily. -The overall look of the fixture is simple yet elegant. -The light throws nicely up and down out of the fixture. i've installed a lot of lights in our new house, this is one of the nicest. ... show more

    • Nice looking light, solid cast aluminum, durable powdercoated finish.

I like the simple elegant design of these, and they do produce a nice flicker free warm light effect on the wall for a cozy feel. The body is solid cast aluminum construction with a powdercoated finish for durability. However, one of mine came with a defect in the powdercoated finish on the inside of one of the shades that feels like the lights lack good quality control. It almost looks like a run you would find in paint that was applied too heavily. The second light did not have this defect. Other than that, they seem like solid lights, and you can;t see the defect when its installed and being used so I didn;t bother to replace it. For the price though you can't really beat the value considering the heavy duty construction. The bulbs are non standard though, so you will likely need to mail order replacements. I have not seen these kinds of bulbs in the big box stores here in the US. ... show more

These look really lovely at night. We installed them next to french doors and they create a really nice ambiance of light on top of our large planters. These are solid coated metal and quite wide. After getting this device, you have to order smart G6 bulbs to get the full effect - trust me. I got this light to swap out the lights on my staircase, which was very dated, and these made the space look so modern. The bulb that comes with this device was bright and worked as expected, but after updating the bulbs to smart bulbs I'm able to change the colors and set the mood however I like, which is great! Heavy duty sconces, made of metal. I ordered these to put in a hallway, where it will be easier to add sconces vs. overhead lights. They are very heavy duty, metal casing and seem substantial. I thought the metal would be flimsy, but it’s quite thick and rigid. In my opinion, they look more outdoor than indoor. Instead of the hall, I think I’m going to shift them to deck/porch area.
