I was shocked how easy this was to install! I was replacing an existing exterior door knob. Took off the old one, and this new one fit the existing holes perfectly! It was just a few steps to install: Insert and screw in the interior mechanism. Screw on the interior posts to the outside half. Position in the outside half and thread the wire connector to the inner side. Remove the knob from the inner half. Connect the wire to the inner half. Screw the two halves together. Re-attach the inner knob. Insert four AA batteries. All done! It helped that the instructions were very well laid out and written. No broken English. Step-by-step instructions. The only tool I needed that wasn't provided was a screwdriver. (You'll need more tools if you are starting with a raw door and need to make the holes in the door and door jam.) Operation is easy, with nice features. There is a default factory Master Code you need to change first (easy instructions). Then use the Master Code and follow the instructions to program the options: Auto-lock on or off: On if you want it to lock automatically after a programmed number of seconds. Off if you want it to lock manually only (hold any number key for 2 seconds to lock). Seconds for auto-lock: set from 5 to 99 seconds. User entry codes: Set up to 20 custom entry codes. This allows everyone in the household to have their own. You can also set one up temporarily, e.g. for a house guest, and later remove it. Vacation mode on/off: The custom entry codes don't work when on - only the Master Code. One-time code. Silent mode on/off. "Locking" the door simply makes it so turning the knob on the outside does not turn the latch to open the door. Turning the knob on the inside always turns the latch. When the door is locked, you can unlock from the outside by entering the Master Code or any of the programmed user codes: 1. Push any button to illuminate the number pad, if desired. 2. Push the buttons for the entry code. 3. Push the "Yamiry" button below the numbers. The green light will turn on, beep is heard, and the door is unlocked. For security, if someone is with you that you don't want to see the entry code, you can add digits before and/or after the code when entering it on the keypad and it will still work. There are also two keys provided, which will also open the door from the outside. Another nice feature is the usb port on the bottom side of the outside. Should the batteries go dead, you can attach a power pack to operate the door until the batteries are replaced (or use a USB power instead of batteries all the time). The engineering and materials are great. They are well made, solid parts. Nothing is flimsy. I expect it to last many, many years. This is a great electronic-locking door knob to replace my manual-lock knob. There are two features I would like that maybe they will add sometime: 1. The option to auto-unlock the knob when opening the door from the inside. Currently, if you open the door from the inside it is still locked from the outside when you shut the door. 2. An easier method of changing from auto-lock to manual-lock mode. Currently, you have to enter the Master Code and programming sequence to change it. It would be nice if there were a programmable User Code for making the change, to make it easier at times when you are going in and out of the house often for chores, garden work, etc.

I’ve been using this Yamiry keypad smart door lock for a little while now, and I’m really happy with it. Installation was straightforward and didn’t take much time, even without professional help. Great smart door knob. Looks really nice and durable. Easy to set up. Beep is easy to hear. High quality material. A lot of different options to configure it which is nice. My small con is the handle doesn't have much space behind it so its a bit tough to grip around it. Not a big deal though. Highly recommend this door knob.
