I did have to drill a hole for the bottom screw of the handle, but the set conveniently came with the drill bit. This is a fantastic lock; Period! I was really surprised at the quality for the price. I wanted an electronic lock with a key backup, and this one is perfect. I do not use the auto-lock function, as I go outside quite a bit to rend to my plants, but that is an available option if you like. I come home after work, enter my code, and I am in. Easy to install! Had a minor hang up and contacted customer service. Their reaction was quick with rep’s name and number and remedial instructions. I am fortunate that I know a little bit of “locksmithing”, figured out that the spindal had to be turned counter clockwise to be set at open. Once I did that, it worked. Firstly, this door knob handle is solid, substantial & looks expensive! Big step up from my cheap kwikset turn knob. The fact that it has a code and a finger print; that is so convenient. Keys for backup as well. 2nd, the set up wasn’t bad at all, considering door knobs can be tricky. This even gives a guided cutout measurement of where to put each piece. 3rd, the customer service guy helped me out with setting up my code and finger print seamlessly. Definitely worth the buy! The fingerprint sensor is amazing. I've never had to scan my finger more than once. It can store more prints than we'll ever need. My daughter sometimes has trouble with it scanning her finger. She's young and her fingers are small. But there are multiple ways to unlock it- fingerprint, code, key. I love that versatility. The last two knobs we tried had trouble with the push-down handle, but this one feels sturdy, and looks great! It also doesn't get as hot as our other one did, even being in the sun. ... show more
