We had Wyze previously and loved it but we're looking for one that had the keypad attached and that accepted fingerprints. There are a few glitches here and there where we have to use our fingerprint twice before it accepts if but all in all it is a good quality door lock. It was easy to install and looks good. It isn't as easy to get notifications but I haven't looked into that too much yet so can't comment whether that option is available or not. Overall though I feel it was a good purchase. ... show more

The WiseGear smart lock seems to be well built and installed with only minor difficulties. The issues I found during installation are that the strike plates are a little bit larger than standard lock sets. This wasn't a huge issue but be prepared to do a little bit of carpentry work during installation. Another oddity that I found was that the strike plates differed in color some were brushed nickel some were matte black that matched the lock you can see from the image what I'm talking about. Once installed I found that it was very easy to pair to the TT lock app which I had already installed for a different lock. This turned out to be a great feature because I was able to import all of the codes fingerprints and security cards from my other lock to this one. I find the TT lock app works well with these devices and I would recommend this if you're looking for a lever style door handle. ... show more

I picked up this Smart Lock to replace an old keypad lock that had become unreliable and frustrating for my family. This Smart Lock caught my eye because it offers various unlocking methods: keypad, fingerprint, key card, mobile app, and traditional key. Additionally, with an optional remote gateway, you can use your mobile phone to unlock it remotely. I was primarily interested in the deadbolt feature, so I kept my existing door handle and only replaced the deadbolt. The Smart Lock worked perfectly with the existing mechanism, which was still in good condition. Installation was quick and smooth. The most challenging part was aligning the outer cover with the inner locking mechanism, but once that was done, everything fit together nicely. I used only the two main screws, and the rubber trim around the locking covers held everything securely in place. Setting up the Smart Lock was straightforward, though I wasn't thrilled about having to create an account with the mobile app. Pairing the lock with my phone via Bluetooth was simple, and programming the different locking mechanisms was easy. I registered fingerprints for all family members without any issues. I also set up my wife as an admin by having her create a separate account and then sharing admin rights with her, which wasn't clearly explained in the instructions but was easy enough to figure out. The key cards included with the lock were a nice addition. They were easy to program and convenient to use. Overall, the Smart Lock has been a significant upgrade from my old keypad. The only downside is that it doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi for remote unlocking unless you use a hub, but this isn't a big deal if you plan ahead.
