I am usually uneasy about using unbranded or unknown brands when it comes to electronics because most companies sacrifice quality in order to undercut the price of the big well known brands or just try to trick consumers by making an almost exact clone of a reputable product but my girlfriend begged me to grab this for her apartment so I did. I was really surprised at how nice this made. It was also boxed nicely with quality packaging. Everything was sturdy and didn't seem like any corners were cut to save on cost. The installation was not that much more difficult than installing a traditional lock and if you have done it before it should be a breeze for you. The electronic aspect was a bit tougher to get done. It took us awhile to setup everything on her phone and get it connected without issues though. We were never able to get the fingerprint feature to work right but you are still able to use the other options with no issue. So in conclusion I was worried about getting cheap junk and it turned out to be an actually good item.

The hubby installed it and said it was as easy as a normal deadbolt. We couldn't get it to link to the app but we still added the code and our fingerprints. I wasn't too worried about the app anyways. It works great and we have not needed to replace batteries yet. But we got rechargeable ones for this.

This worked great and it was a very easy. Install not hard for me to do it all. It's nice to be able to lock it and unlock it without having to be there. And not having to dig for keys is also a plus

We owned an early lock and that pretty soon gave up on recognizing the physical press buttons. To overcome this, we went with this one that has touch buttons. Long time verdict is still outstanding. Just opening the box and removing each item was a very positive experience. Well packaged and every item was extra bagged in a protective sleeve. All screws and items were clearly labeled. I worked of the handbook that came with it but installing was very straight forward. This goes together only in one way. Then I used rechargeable batteries, and the lock was not initiating. I finally went and tested them, they measured 1.35V each but showed green/good. I then placed four new ones in (1.5V) and the lock initiated. Next step - this is where the handbook was a bit confusing, getting the admin password established was frustrating as the handbook does not say it has to be a 6-digit password. I tried 4 digits for several times and after entering the second verification it always came back as not the same. If I had followed the video instructions, I would have seen the need for a 6-digit password. Getting users set up was easy, son, daughter and then wife. All without a hitch including fingerprint reader. Then I installed the app, better, I initiated it in my TUYA app that I already have. This was again a bit frustrating as I did not follow the unclear written manual correctly. It was again a bit confusing. But I managed and I was able to operate it via Bluetooth. Remember that you have to be close to operate it this way. This brings me to the initially ignored videos. The instructions had a card that shows seven QR codes for the important steps. After all was done, I watched the videos, and I must say they are so much more user friendly then following the written instructions. So, my recommendation is to ditch the manual and just watch the videos. The lock looks good. The family uses it via fingerprints rather than codes, and it works well. The key is stylish as well. Another FYI - the TUYA app is connected to my Home Assistant (HA) automation system. It shows the new door lock correctly in HA as a new device but without entities. No status is reported there. So you will not be able to operate it from HA. It needs the Bluetooth connection via the phone app to operate remotely.

Good product for the price. A little confusing with the programming the codes but eventually figured it out lol. Fingerprint access is very touchy and have to place JUST right for it to work. You have to have a 6 digit code otherwise it won’t accept it so a little annoying in that aspect. The app to unlock and lock is through Bluetooth which I feel is inconvenient since it thought it would work to lock it if maybe I forgot to lock it after I have left the home. You can rename codes in the app for certain people and it keeps track of who came in the door at certain times which is kind of handy. Product is heavy duty metal and built like any other code door lock. Good product I think. Still figuring things out and discovering different features as I go.

This thing doesn’t have very good instructions. It is also very difficult to program a code. My installer had to try over and over before he finally figured out how to program it. The actual install was ok, just because this is obviously his job. So he knew the basics. But if I had tried to do it, I probably would have had to find a video. I have not yet put fingerprints in. I tried once and just kept getting errors. I would think that a well-known brand would be better. So I would suggest going with that route instead. I am not happy with this. The other thing is that the actual locking mechanism isn’t strong at ALL. So when it is supposed to be locking, it doesn’t lock if the door is off center at ALL. So if your door/frame swells or changes with weather (as it does in Indiana), you will only be able to use the auto lock every once in a while. It will try to lock, but if it receives a breath of resistance, it stops trying. Also, it does NOT sense if the door is closed or not, so if you open the door to get groceries or something, and you take more than 10 seconds or so, the deadbolt will go into “locked” position, causing the extended deadbolt to hit the doorframe when you try to swing it shut behind you. SO you have to really make sure you hear or see the bolt come out to avoid breaking it off. Overall, just terrible design. I am not happy.
