Oh my gosh I should have done this ages ago! As a frequent loser-of-keys, this lock has changed my everything. I can set and change my entry code whenever I want, which has come in handy for safety reasons and for peace of mind. I don't need to carry or worry about a key at all. I also like the feature that allows you to enter any random numbers before and after your code to disguise your actual code, just in case someone is lurking and watching over your shoulder. This obscures your code by adding more opportunities for error and makes it a little tougher for someone with malicious intent to accurately decipher what your code actually is. It's not perfect, but it's another layer of challenge for anyone who might be trying to outsmart your system. I love the auto lock function, through which the door will lock itself again after you've come inside, so not only does this thing mean I don't have to carry a key with me, but also I don't have to remember to lock myself in when I get home! You can change the amount if time it waits before engaging the lock by itself. Just in case you need an alternative way of opening the lock, the RFID key tag thing is a nice non-key option that works quite well, too... Just wave the little tag in front of the lock briefly and the lock will disengage. Easy, fast, reliable. Still easier than a physical key. You can also unlock/lock the door using the app alone, which is kinda fun. The app isn't the sexiest but it's easy to figure out. Install was easy. Programming was easy. Looks sharp enough ...as far as locks go. ...I mean, how pretty are they? It's got a modern-looking design and it doesn't look cheap. I want to give this thing a goodnight kiss every night... Unit completely stopped locking and unlocking using the keypad after only 2 years. On top of that, the automatic lock function had been working only occasionally, sometimes fully engaging, other times it would act like it couldn’t line up with the hole in the door—even though if you manually locked it, it would line up perfectly and have no problem. As annoying as that was, we put up with it. But now even though batteries have been replaced, lock restored to factory settings and a new passcode created, everytime we enter the passcode nothing happens except for 5 error beeps and the deadbolt doesn’t move at all. We can neither lock the deadbolt using the keypad when we leave the house, nor can we unlock the door using the keypad- the dead bolt only engages by using the key. Which defeats the whole purpose. There are a lot of less expensive smart door locks on Amazon-I expected to be able to get a lot longer usage than 2 years from this thing. Seller was not helpful and didn’t seem to care when I contacted them since apparently there’s only a one year warranty. ... show more

Update #2 (11-13-2021): Turns out I had a glitchy unit and that's why it was finicky with locking via pressing the Checkmark button for 3 seconds. The seller was very quick to respond to my frustration and sent out a replacement. I just installed it and tested everything, it locks perfectly by pressing that button for 3 seconds. I'm changing my rating to 4 Stars because I appreciate a seller that works with you to offer a solution and send a working replacement. All that really needs to be worked on would be the issues concerning the user manual I spoke about in my previous update. Update: The instructions are not well comprehensible and detailed when it comes to troubleshooting, and knowing exactly what procedure to do to unlock it with just the Checkmark button key press for 3 seconds. I've only gotten it to lock for me once via that method. Any other attempt just had it do nothing or have it lock and unlock, followed by rapid beeping. The manual says nothing about this and what to do. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller regarding this matter but if the solution provided isn't viable, then I'm sending this back for a refund and getting a different one. I was a bit skeptical to purchase this as it only had two reviews, but I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot. I'm glad I did as everything the reviews said and the product description video showed, it was a breeze to install. Thankfully, my original deadbolt was the standard measurement which meant I didn't have to adjust anything to get the lock to fit. It really is a true plug-and-play ordeal. The ONLY issue I had was that my original deadbolt mounting plate (the one that is part of the assembly) had curved edges whereas what this lock had was a rectangle. Because I didn't have a proper cutting tool with me at the time, I used my angle grinder to round out the corners of the striker plate. Problem solved. The kit comes with two sets of instructions (one a quick-guide, the other a comprehensive one) and both were very easy to follow along, two RFID cards, two keys, a bag of screws, and an extra bag of screws. The lock was installed with ease and everything bolted up perfectly. Getting the app to connect with the lock was painless and everything was straightforward. It's also nice to know that you can email the company and get a response quickly if you run into problems. The only issue I faced with the lock was that, when I first tested it out with the app, it would lock and then unlock. I tried again and it did the same. So, I had the app unlock first and then tried locking it. This time, everything worked as it should. I tested it a few more times and didn't have locking/unlocking problems after. I'm not sure how well the display will be able to handle direct sunlight almost constantly during the day, but I'm hoping it'll last for quite awhile with no issues of fading or distorting. Time will tell. Until then, I'm very pleased with this lock and if you're looking for a nice smart lock that isn't expensive, you can't really go wrong with this. ... show more

Very impressed with the sturdiness of this deadbolt. I wasn't sure what to expect since this lock was quite a bit cheaper than ones I have bought in the past. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the lock is extremely solid and refined and actually superior to the more expensive smart deadbolt I have on my front door. It is heavy and the all the exterior components are made of thick cast metal. The instructions provided were well put together and the installation was extremely straightforward. I think it took less than 20 minutes to get it up and running. Lock worked great for a few years. As my wife and I were about to take the dogs out, I turned the knob and it popped out of nowhere. No resistance, no sounds, just flew right off. Tried to see how it goes back on, there's nothing connecting.. just well lubricated. Nothing sticks or clicks in. Tried to see if I can purchase another, but its now unavailable. However, the worse part is that you have to download an app and create a pass code and therefore giving access to whoever has access to the data thus making it not a secure lock. I put batteries in and tested this sucker out and it’s awesome. I love how it comes with the many options to have codes, a key, or a keycard. I can’t wait to put it on our doors when our house gets closer to being finished. The app is cool and works from far away as long as you have Bluetooth or WiFi in your home. So i like that you can lock it if you forgot. I also like how you can set up permanent or shorter lock codes incase someone is swinging by short term while you’re away.
