I was reading some other reviews saying this was made of cheap plastic spoon material. That is not my impression at all. It’s very rigid. I have a Yale nest lock on my front door that was substantially more expensive than this. While that deadbolt lock has a lot more functions (WiFi, app control etc) the build quality is the comparable. I wanted a deadbolt that would auto lock on my garage access door. I bought this to replace a kwickset keyless lock that started acting up after two years. This one took me 10 minutes to install but over a hour to get it programmed properly. The directions and video is available but apparently I was holding the reset button down to long when entering the codes. It works good after I got past that issue. ... show more

    • The password has to be 6 charters long.

The biggest problem Ine had was the small print in the instructions. I tried and tried to set a password and none of them would work. I finally managed to read the instruction where it said passwords must me 6 characters long.

    • Literally made out of plastic and stops working within a week

Fairly easy to install if you know how to do it. This is made out of plastic, like a plastic spoon type of plastic. You can enter your code, or even use their code, and within a week all sudden that code is no longer working. As I have entered different code, and it will work for a few days and then it won’t. Also, even after putting it on the door as tight as you can, and twists and turns on the inside. There is no way that you could tighten it anymore than it can with the screws you were given. And as I said, it is made out of plastic. So, basically you have to just use the key because the code will not stay set. And with the screws provided there’s no way you could secure this to the door tight enough for it not to turn on the inside. So it looks like a piece badly painted plastic that is always tilted on the inside ... show more
