I bought this to separate one hen from the flock, specifically the rooster. It’s very small and I would never leave an animal in this for very long. The hen has been moved to another coop. On an unexpected note, my other hens decided to make this their preferred egg laying spot. Overall, the only way this would work is if the yard was expanded. This coop was an easy build and seems like it will hold up for some time. It wheels around just fine and the roofs are solid. As some other comments say, it is small. I'm currently using it for a pair of Silkie hens which they seem to be good with it. It might be too small for any larger chickens other than bantams/silkies or a population more than 2 or 3. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this hen house for my 3 hens & 2 rooster which it was fine when they was smaller, however as they are growing I will need to purchase another one for my girls. It’s a little small for this to be a large a 3rd nesting house would’ve been perfect! As you can see I painted mines just to add some color & help keep it from weathering because it’s outside. The instructions wasn’t so great, it would be wonderful & helpful if they revived the instructions to make it a little easier to understand, because I was not able to use the flat metal piece due to instructions was not clear on which part I was to attach it to & what it was for. I do ❤️ the material the roof is made of and the hen house is made well for the purpose! My hens seem to be happy with their house so far despite it being a little cramped🤗🐔🐤. It’s still a work in process. I would still recommend this to other’s for their flocks🤗❤️ ... show more

Convenient for indoor and outdoor. We painted it to match our garden theme. The chicks love it. Very spacious and easy for them to get exercise. Also easy to clean.

Cons: It took me 1 1/2 hrs to completely build. The directions could have been more comprehensive. The numbers on the panels were faded and hard to see and there was some damage as well as blemishes on the panels (as you can see in the pictures). The wood is a little flimsy, not hardwood. Pros: they did provide some directions and diagrams that if you really pay attention to the diagrams you can figure out what to do. If your willing to use some wood glue and sanding, you can fix the damages. Overall the chicken coop came out as pictured. ... show more

It's build very sturdy, but it's only good for two laying hens and there's really not much yard run. Even two hens have no space... The top of the hen house, the roof section wasnt cut right, it wouldn't fit on the house, so we had to modify that. And we had to buy a Ten by ten enclosure so they can have some room to run and feed. It wasn't really worth over a hundred dollars and now I'm having to invest more money and I still have more to do. I really wish now I hadn't bought it. I won't recommend it to anybody else... I'll just suggest they go to tractor supply, that's what I wish I'd done now. It's pretty and cute for yard show piece, you can pretend you have chickens, Im not bashing the builders...other than the top it's a beautiful little hen house...they did a excellent job ...it's just not really practical, people don't buy one that small, go double that size. ... show more
