This thing kicks out so little heat that even if it’s been on for hours, you can lay your hand right on it and leave it there. It’s utterly worthless. Unfortunately I was ill and missed the return window. Don’t waste your money.

This is a sturdy and presumably safe little unit. I like that once you setup temp and timer settings with a couple button pushes, it will return with same settings 24 hours later every night. But we got this to put in the chicken coop on single digit nights and and we have a thermometer maybe 15 to 18 inches at most away and it really didn't do much of anything compared to without it. The ambient temperature was pretty much same as outside temperature. This would be good to add a little heat in a semi chilly environment but in the case of chickens they really don't even need that.

This product has no memory and has to be reset every time there is a power disruption. It does heat up a small coop well.
