I bought this curtain rod for an 82” wide window in my kids’ bedroom. I was hanging heavy room darkening curtains that were 64” long. I’ve purchased metal curtain rods from Wal*Mart before, and was never happy. They always twisted and bowed in the center with use. I am pleasantly surprised with these. I’ve read other reviews, and I just want to say that these are sturdy enough to hold heavy curtains that get lots of “opening and closing” use. This curtain rod is just what I needed. I am so happy with the end result, but this was not easy to set up. Took way longer than expected, and I ended up not using all the screws because of how time consuming it was. I used two screws for the middle hook, but just one for the outsides. It seems to be sturdy enough with just one screw anyways. Definitely worth the money, and the gold color is subtle yet beautiful. ... show more

I waited to write my review until the curtain rod had been up a few months. Thus far, it's held up and there is no sagging. The color is very nice and compliments the pink curtains that hang on it. The curtain also moves easily along the bar and doesn't catch. It was easy to install and came with plastic anchors, which made the process faster (since we didn't have to go looking for them). It is nice, and a great price, but i've had issue with the ball popping off the end, causing the rod to fall when pulling the curtains. So now I try to keep a little extra space between the bracket and the ball.

I like these rods but they come apart easily when I open the curtains. There’s nothing in the middle to stop it from sliding out. So I switched to lighter weight curtains and they work just fine.

Finally hung this yesterday after purchasing it about 2 months ago. It looks lovely in my room and was easy to install with the proper tools (i.e. a drill and screw driver). My son put it up wit ease. It’s sturdy and we didn’t even need to use the middle bracket.

I've put many curtain rods up, this though was a different experience altogether. The end pieces don't actually got snugly into the ends of the rod and just hang. I'll have to use something to help adhere it so they don't fall off.
