Features

  • Remote Control: To enable HomeKit remote control, you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, or an iPad. Set any of these Apple devices in your house as a HomeKit bridge and connect it to your home 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Keep in mind that once your HomeKit bridge is set up, it has to be kept online. If it is powered off or disconnected from the Wi-Fi, it will fail to respond when you intend to control the device remotely.
  • Compact Size: Smart plug occupies only one socket, the device allows you to stack two mini smart plugs in the same outlet, which is convenient and practical.
  • Schedule: You can schedule connected home devices to turn on and off automatically by smart plugs. Save energy when lights are not needed or left on by accident. Sunrise and sunset setting are supported.
  • Quality: The mini plug is made of PC flame retardant material, and has been approved for safety and quality assurance. Certified by ETL and FCC, it supports home appliance up to 15A.

  • Stopped working after 6 weeks. Terrible tech support
This is one of the more affordable smart plug for homekit on the market and hence was giving it a try. I was hoping it went well so that would replace my light switch with Meross as well. Sadly it didn't go as plan. I received 2 smart plugs towards end of Sept and I used it right away. The setup was easy and I was amazed that it was so quick to set it up and get it going. Fast-forward to 1st week of Nov (after around 6 weeks of usage), one of it stopped responding. I left it as-is for few days but the problem persisted. I reset the plug and tried to set it up again. It seems the Meross app has changed that I have to setup directly using Apple Home App (back in Sept during the initial setup, I can setup via Meross app first and the integrated with Home App, this seemed to have changed apparently). I have tried many times, resetting the plug, reboot my iPhone, etc. I couldn't get it added back with "unreachable to device". Given that my 2nd plug is still working and there's no change in wifi configuration, I guess it's the faulty item. I tried to get hold of Meross support via email. I sent emails 3 times (2 with safari browser and 1 with chrome browser. There's 0 email notification that my case was received nor get any update on this subject. Will wait for another week and see if any response, but so far it doesn't seem promising. Update: Meross tech support got back to me with detail instruction. It finally works again (bump up to 4 stars). However, there's quite a few steps to undo on my network before it's able to get it work again, like, removing my router from homekit, disable 5Ghz, disable client steering, ipv6, unplug apple-tv/homepod, etc, and redo all these. ... show more

  • Works, but sometimes wonky
These are the plugs I use in my “smart apartment”. They definitely do work once you get them set up properly. I had some issues setting up a few of them and it took me longer than I would have liked to spend doing so. Design wise I would prefer something less bulky, but for the price point I am happy with these. I will continue to repurchase these even though set up can be frustrating at times. ... show more

  • Dead simple HomeKit setup.
I added the Meross switch to HomeKit via the Home app on my iPhone, plugged it in, said “hey siri turn on the living room lights”, and the lights came on like the first day of Genesis. It’s literally that simple to setup.

  • App required for SmartThings
When I attempted to install the device, SmartThings needed my login to the app. I stopped at this point because I don't want to install an app to get thus connected to SmartThings

  • Great for Homekit
Fairly easy to set up, work great once they are.

  • Just OK
The Meross Smart Plug does work but not very well. When you set up the plug a 2.4Ghz wifi connection is needed. If you have a dual band router make sure all your Apple devices, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod are on the 2.4Ghz band. The Meross App is also needed however the plugs are set up from the HomeKit app. One of my plugs works fine but the other that is further away from the router does not. You need to be very close to the plug to turn it on and off and Siri does not work. The second plug is set up to come on at sunset and can only remain on for 4 hours. A simple timer may work better if you want your light to stay on longer. ... show more

  • Convenient, works great, but setup was a bit trickier than expected
First of all, these work great and I'd certainly buy again. I got them because I have a few in-wall Meross dimmer switches, and figured why install another app! I ran into an issue during setup, but found a solution and wanted to make people aware here: I was able to add the switch in homekit and have it respond, but as soon as I tried to add it in the Meross app, it would restart, and not reconnect to Wifi (the light would just blink and blink). The solution? Be really patient! After resetting and restarting a bunch of times, I finally just paired with homekit, added in Meross, and WAITED. It sat there for over an hour blinking, then finally connected, appeared in the Meross app, and was able to install firmware updates. No further issues. TL;DR -- just let it sit! ... show more
