When I started looking for a pressure washer, I fully expected to buy one with an internal combustion engine. However, a friend of mine had a Karcher that he was happy with and let me borrow it. I was skeptical of using an electic device in a wet environment, but it worked well and I was sold. The features on this Karcher tick off all my requirements and I'm quite pleased with the purchase. There were some delivery issues, however. The pressure washer I kept was the fourth one delivered to me. That's right, the fourth. The reason is that there was one thing or another wrong with the first three. One leaked from a hose connection point between the pump and the wand, one had badly mangled threads where the supply hose connected, and one leaked from within the unit. Judging from the condition of the delivery boxes, I believe the fault lies not with the Karcher manufacturing process but on the logistics and delivery end. Through it all, Karcher was excellent. The process for reporting the failure and getting another unit delivered was easy and they never changed me an additional dime for delivering the replacement units. While it was disappointing to experience these failures, and wait a couple of extra weeks to be able to use the pressure washer, Karcher's customer service was absolutely top notch! ... show more

My second Karcher. Had to repair my first before I could use it too. Rubber fitting in wand quick-connect was missing. Any fitting just leaked profusely! At first I thought it was the thread. No, on closer examination I could see what was missing. The quick-connect was metal on metal with NO rubber O ring or such! Karcher is sending me a new part. They have been good at that, but should better inspect their product. My planned work day is wasted! Will re-review when it works and I have at least a few hours experience.! Received the replacement wand in just 2 days! Electric is the way to go. Stops and starts instantly without gas engine stumble. Plenty of pressure for all household uses. I love the pulse nozzle! The hose winds easily on the storage reel and the electric cord is equally easy to store. Just what I wanted. Easy to use and easy to store! The older pressure hoses were a stiff plastic, impossible to loop for storage. Ad your own quick connect water supply fitting and you are ready to go. ... show more

I would like to give it zero stars. This pressure washer is less than nothing. Very finicky to start, you have to play with it for a while before you get some pressure. Once you do it works great, but for how long? not very long... First, the auto pump shut off stopped working so now it is running all the time whether you are pulling the trigger or not. This happened after...6 uses? Then after 10 uses it all went wrong when the gun started leaking, and consequently losing all pressure rendering it completely useless. Opened the trigger gun and found the leaky little plastic valve/elbow. Thought OK it should be easy enough to just purchase that part...NOPE I don't have time to play games and surf the net all day to find this part so I guess I will spend another 35 bucks for a new trigger gun on top of the 300 bucks I spent on this useless piece of machinery. Did I mention how flimsy this thing is, and how useless the Reel is? Oh and the hose is very short...Can't even get around my whole car without the unit around, which should be easy because of the gigantic clown wheels it comes with right? Not really, because this whole machine could have been designed better by a 7 year old kid who build LEGO sets and a little imagination ... show more

The power washer is great for cleaning everything around the house, especially my car. The only complaint I have is that the hose is very cheap, rigid, and difficult to straighten out. Moreover, you can’t just buy a nice, rubber hose to replace it, due to the proprietary attachment. The best you can do is buy one with an adaptor, and attach it to the cheap OEM hose. It’s not ideal, since you still have the useless hose, which increases friction to the flow (longer hose=more friction), and decreases the overall pressure. Anyway, kudos to the manufacturer: The hose popped a hole. Even though I did not register the product (to get the warranty), the manufacturer sent a brand new replacement hose set. No questions asked. Otherwise, I would have a working, but useless power washer. Thanks! ... show more

    • Failed 1-Day after Warranty (w/ update after calling to report problem)

**Update from 23 Feb 19 post** I left the original post from 2 days ago so that you can see the reasons for my rating change. As I mentioned on the 23rd, I called Karcher today to explain the issue as it happened in my original post. Jarvis at Karcher explained to me that my description of the problem shows that the “Unloader Valve” most likely failed. After getting my email address and asking me to pull the sticker off of the bottom of the unit, he told me that my unit would be replaced under the Rapid Replacement Program. He stated that once I fill out the form that he was emailing me, attached the sticker I removed from the unit, and emailed it back to him, he would forward it to corporate and that the entire process will take about 7-10 business days. I have to say that I was only on the phone for 3-4 mins for the entire process. A+ customer service, so thank you Jarvis! Products sometimes fail, but Jarvis made sure that Karcher was doing everything in their power to make things right. I posted 1 star the day of the failure, but thanks to the quick resolution, I am changing my rating to reflect the product itself as well as the excellent customer service! Product “was” fantastic. Ordered through Amazon on 20 Feb 2018. Was using today, 1 year and one day after it arrived and something went wrong. Let go of the trigger and the pressure washer reduced to about 70% spray. Thought was the wand assembly went bad, but when removing the wand, water is still “shooting” out of the hose assembly. Super frustrated with the timing of the failure vs. the warranty. I will be calling on Monday morning. ... show more
