Description

This Kapro aluminum rule has inch graduations to 1/16 and an anodized profile for measuring in woodworking, carpentry, and machining applications. Its graduations are UV (ultraviolet) cured screen printing and staggered in a height pattern for readability. It is made of anodized contractor-grade aluminum for durability. It has a hole in the end for hanging in a workspace or tool room. Rules are devices used to measure distances, or to rule straight lines. Rules have markings at specified intervals (also called graduations), as opposed to straight edges, which lack graduations and are used solely to draw a straight line. Nearly all rules are straight edges, except for rounded rules used to measure circles and arcs of angles in geometry applications. Rules can vary from high-quality steel instruments used by machinists; to retractable rules (also called tape measures) used in carpentry and for home- use; to simple wooden or plastic rules used in primary and secondary schools.Kapro manufactures spirit levels, laser levels, layout tools, and measuring tools. Zero starts at the end, not inset so you can measure inside dimensions. Scale is large and easily readable. This two foot ruler fits inside places the a yardstick won't go.

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy to read from most any angle, straight with low flex and sharp edges. I used this for a 90 degree jig in my shop so I cut it, epoxied to wood and screwed it to the jig. Was perfect for my application.

Have to read the description, but it's 2 inches wide. Standard is 1 inch. Was looking at the pictures and it appears to be more narrow, thought it wasn't going to be a problem, but it does seem huge compared to a normal ruler. Wish I they sold this 1" wide and realized how wide it was before buying it.. ... show more
